You know, in those days, Ga lands were sold to only GaDangmes. Then, intermarriages with other tribes diluted and diminished this Gadangme tradition. East Legon was the villages of the La people. Mainly cattle rearing areas. Airport, Dzworwulu, ablenkpe , kwabenya, agbogba, haatso, madina etc areas were osu peoples' villages. Achimota, Tesano, ofankor, pokuase, amasaman beyond were Ga mashie villages. Adjiriganor, ashale botwe including what they now refer to as East Legon hills were all Nungua peoples' villages. Good old Accra. We had so much fun. Agbogba was the death barn in those days.

The nation was organized, neat and clean. Citizens looked respectable and went about their duties with pride. Today that drunkard Napo has the courage to disrespect Nkrumah. Considering the institutions Nkrumah built within his era, our current Ghana should be able to match it and do better considering advanced technology and industrialization but we can’t brag about much improvements since Nkrumah era. Ghana was on a good trajectory, and what happened??? Tribalism, jealousy, and greed filled the hearts of those who disliked Nkrumah.

Remember those days that we had one radio and tv stations. No telephones but people communicated anyway. But watching this video gives me mixed feelings. The colonizers didn’t plan to develop our country, they just stole to make future better for their citizens. When you consider the number of years they benefited from the continent and barely did much to prepare us for the future. Only Cape Coast the first capital, Accra, Kumasi, Secondi Takoradi, Tarkwa and few other places saw some kind of development. We as people failed miserably by falling into their traps by eliminating Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. They knew how weak minded we were because we sold our own people so they knew our independence wouldn’t amount to nothing. We can’t blame them either! We’ve to put on our boots strap and go to work just like everywhere else.
