In "true vanilla fashion", I upscaled the footage to 1440p so if it's still just showing 1080p, it's still processing and will be less blurry!

Different strokes for different folks. Optimal builds have been around since the invention of D&D. Hell, it's why the holy trinity eventually formed because players continuously gravitated towards optimal builds. If you don't care about doing the hardest/competitive content, you still don't need to worry. Personally, I like figuring out optimal builds for the challenge (not that there's such a thing with Classic WoW since we've had 12+ years of theorycrafting). But if you're just casually leveling/doing some raiding as long as you spend your points somewhere it really won't matter that much, just don't complain you're not doing top DPS/whatever of course.

@@haasgaming Of course, I am not saying optimizing is not fun, just that sometimes if we decide only to choose the best builds we limit ourselves, and playing a build that is not as good as others in terms of e.g. DPS can still be a lot of fun (or even more fun than a build that you know well).

I wasn’t aware you did this video until now, I am so psyched-I didn’t play the beta. How awesome would it be to be on the same server come launch time?! I am looking forward to Classic more than ANYTHING else out there on the horizon. I’ll be fighting for the Horde 😅 at the moment I am leaning Shaman but I am considering Warrior (which is what I mained in Vanilla, part of TBC, and briefly for a time in WotLK, the other points I mained Paladin-I quit the game after downing ICC-H 25 man, I felt that Cata was the point where the game really took a sharp downtown, but now that more expansions have come I actually wish I did Cata & MOP), Hunter, or Mage... I really should narrow that down! Couple of things, 1) a lot of the community wants the Classic models & graphics. I am hopeful that they will have some sort of toggle in the full version to change certain aspects (or all aspects) of the graphics to go from Classic/Vanilla to new remastered HD stuff. Make it an option, BOOM you have both sides happy! 2) I didn’t feel compelled to pay for the $50 demo... money’s tight at the moment. Luckily content creators like you have me covered. 3) Can you share a brief list of, say, top 3 or top 5 things you’re looking forward to most in the release of Classic? 4) Lastly, if they do TBC & WotLK Classics, will you continue on? I appreciate the fan interaction my friend.

Oh if they do TBC I'd be all over that. It's by far my favourite WoW expansion and a point in time at which I believe most classes really showed their colors. Most were viable and usable in almost all content, to some extend. Perhaps not top tier, but doable. Karazhan is one of the best raids they've ever done. The Burning Crusade zones were lovely (except Blade's Edge Mountains). The only stain it has, in my eyes, are flying mounts - something I was against from the moment they announced it and unsurprisingly ended up disliking ever since. Wrath is where things fell apart for me, with the introduction of all the cross-realm mechanics and the severely nerfed (downright easy) dungeons. Which, compared to say Shattered Halls (heroic, especially) was such a let down. As for what I'm looking forward to the most? Just the general sense of exploration and leveling. It's a much nicer pace than live. Especially zones like Stranglethorn, I love the dynamic world PvP that can occur there even though it can be PTSD inducing. So second, PvP for sure.

WOTLK was the best expansion confirmed! Everything started dying as of cataclysm!

If WOW was smart they would make a different server for every expansion. Then people could choose what version they wanted to play. With a transfer option to transfer the character between expansions. You don't need 80 servers for just 1 expansion.

5 minutes in and I'm getting a fairly negative vibe XD I havn't really played WoW since WotLK and I really like the old character models. Even the druid one!

Ah it's more sarcasm than negativity. I've spent thousands of hours on vanilla content, I know what I'm getting out of it :p - Doesn't change the fact that I wish Druids were more appealing to me though. They get no interesting abilities past level 30 (Faerie Fire for feral druids and Leader of the Pack are your most interesting upgrades), they look from 10-forever like the same bland models and your best weapon is a level 43 drop (not that you'll see it). It's just a shame when all your friends are getting some really neat looking gear and you're stuck in this shell of a 5-polygon model. And it's a tough one, since I've always loved Druids (though I strongly dislike guardian/feral in retail); great for leveling, great mobility, awesome utility, unique and complex PvP approach, awesome class flavor.

HaasGaming Ah, I’ve never really thought about it in that way as I were mainly playing shaman and warrior in vanilla. I definitely see your point! It’s been a while since I stumbled around in the awesome game that vanilla was - much has been forgotten and memories are selective. Good and interesting video(s) though! You have made me HYPED for classic servers.

What? I'm supposed to pretend every single element is amazing and perfect? Mate, I've spent thousands of hours playing original vanilla in 2004, playing less-than-legitimate-servers in the meantime. I'm well aware of what I'll get out of this, which is a massive time sink that I'll thoroughly enjoy. Doesn't mean I can't hope for the OPTION of newer models so I can enjoy Druids and not be jealous all my friends are getting neat looking gear and I'm stuck with a model made of 5 polygons. Don't mistake my initial sarcasm for negativity, I'm far from new to this.
