First Mana pot was use like 4 minutes in. Make sure to use consumes right away so they come off cooldown.

A note for others, the Mechanical Yeti from the winterspring quest "Are we there Yeti?" can also be used. It will run around and kill the skellies. I imagine the Barov Peasant Caller trinket would also work.

Wrong advice! never ever do this, because the Demon will kill you before the first healing spell is done. Both "helpers" will be perceived as external helpers.

The Mechanical Yeti worked fine for me today. I summoned it before accepting the quest. It lasts 10 minutes and still had time left when I finished.

hello, i know the video is now 4 years old. but i am atm by the quest, and how do you make to see every npcs healthbar, i tried with Ctrl+V but i dont see it at all, only when i click on them

Just did it. The 'only' consumables I used were: - nightfin soup - Spirit of Boar - Scroll of Intellect - A few oil of immolation - 1 Dark Rune - 2 Major Mana had a mageblood pot but forgot to pop it. Very feckin hectic.

1. I'd say both comments and vid are correct: u won't need a ton of consumables but do bring some, even if u need a pair, u'll want a pair more in case u fail an attempt. 2. The most important thing is to downrank your spells because mana is the biggest issue due to the lenght of the event. The skellies are VERY weak hpwise, they will die with 2 wand shots, so if 1 of them misses ur aoe, just shoot em down. 3. green cloud is non urgent, purple disease is urgent. 4. remember to come back to cave entrance before the last wave dissapears, or you will lose a pair on the new wave as the attack begins shortly.

It really is not, and don't believe anyone who says you need to prepare a shit ton of consumables for this. I pulled it off with terrible gear and 1 mana pot even while fumbling around without nameplates. If you at least prepare your UI beforehand and downrank your heals, it's no problem.

@@Beetny it's not "difficult" when someone lays out for you every single rank of ability and consumable to use, but it's still not easy, especially when you're relying on shit healthbars that overlap with each other and mask true hp

I failed 10 times. Used Immolation, wb, nighfin, mageblood, brilliant mana oil, mark, elixir of the sage, major mana pot, dark rune, elixir +450 armor, elixir +150hp, trollblood elixir, and still managed to fail it 10 times. I also helped a horde and he went away when it was his turn to help me... Fuck this quest. I am over 3k down, I bought mp5 gear, dark runes go for 120g each, I bought 7 already... I am sick of this shit. Yes I turned nameplates in, yes they are stacked. Yes I did everything that come to your mind. No, nobody is willing to help in this game, I whisped 100 people... Fuck, I also used Gizzard Gum +25 spirit. Everything. When I ask for help 1) they don't know what I am talking about 2) bro, I got other things to do bruuuuhhhh... Fuck wow community so toxxic

nobody does this first go they are full of shit. ya it helps if you have people giving you buffs etc. Also thorns works on this. it won't reset if you have a druid sit at the door with thorns on. this is a hard one

I don’t understand the need for so many consumables.. I did this quest using 1 rune and 1 mana pot and finished the event with 65% mana. Biggest tip should be enable nameplates, zoom all the way out so you can see all nameplates from a more aerial view/ skeletons coming.. also wait for skeletons to group so you hit all of them with strat water/holy nova. Easy clap

Dire maul thornling, you get them from looting the plants in there. They pull agro of any mobs in the area when they're AoEing on the ground like that but have incredibly low health

Renew was screwing your mana pool over there. You don't really need to top them up above 50% hp ever. A lot of the ones you were renewing weren't even being focused by archers, or they were being focused by so few that they wouldn't have actually died by the time they reached the finish line.

You need to top them above 50% if they're being hit. Also, it's really easy to criticize this sort of thing in retrospect hahahaha. I was tired when I made the video which is why I jumble my words right before the fight anyway so, it's no surprise that i sucked

@@AlmarWinfield Why? It takes them quite a long time to drop back down to 50%. Best way to do it without losing peasants is to heal to 50% (usually 60% if you have a decent amount of +healing) then move to the next target.

It doesn't take them a long time to drop back down to under 5% if they're being focused, I don't know why you're assuming none will ever be focused. The archers change their targets frequently, but you can get them to shoot you if you get too close to the cave entrance, which I usually do - which is why I heal myself and my peasents weren't being focused. So long as you accomplish the event, it doesn't really matter if you don't do it perfectly.

A great tip is too move your camera to birds eye view when healing. Much easier to see the peasants

@@cattysplat no it's not.. lol Oil of immolation has a 3 second cooldown.. it lasts longer than 3 seconds. So with renews on yourself and oil you're fine. Holy nova is too mana intensive.
