When I lived in remote areas, we would design items like this and spend long amounts of time designing and creating. We had to because we had very little and had to live frugally and with ingenuity. It was very satisfying to live this way but coming back into dense, urban populations or simply a place with access to Amazon and other online suppliers it is viewed as a waste of time. Often, one can purchase the item they need for a reasonable price so it makes no sense spending hours and hours making it oneself. But it sure is fun watching you make something so intricate and lovely. I love the result. ❤
