I was an Army wife for 30 years. My husband was a high ranking officer with 3 combat tours and commanded a battalion and a battlefield coordination detachment in the war in Afghanistan. My husband was active duty Army for 30 years. My husband also worked for the Secretary of Defense, Dick Cheney and on the Joint Staff both at the Pentagon. Hegseth was a major in the national guard. There’s a big big difference. Hegseth is in no way qualified to be Secretary of Defense. The Sec Def now is a retired 4 star. That should tell you a lot right there.
