You know what this reminds me of? An old thinkpad i was messing with had a small LED on the top lid that illuminated the keyboard. Its such a smart idea.

I never knew this was a thing. Yet now it's in my wishlist on ebay. Thanks for the immensely detailed review.

Damn, I love this kind of channels. You know, made by simple hardworking men. Even watching tech content I can never get over the thought, that most of youtubers never held anything heavier than “mouse” in their hand 😁

Enjoyed the auto dimmer section. Always wondered what the light bar was actually doing. Good stuff!

I received my BenQ screen bar today. I'm not 100% sold on it. I think its over priced. The build quality seems good.. and the mounting clip is also good. But I guess I was expecting a bit more light output. But I've never used a screen bar light before so maybe my expectations were too high. But overall, I still don't think its worth the $109 I paid for it. I'm gonna continue using it for a few days and see how I feel about it. I can't help but wonder if I should've just gone with a $30-40 light instead.

This is an old video, but I love your vids on the monitor lights (esp the one on the updated halo) because of your professional background Very unique perspective beyond surface level “this feels better”

Great content as usual! However, your review misses an important section. How does the light affect secondary monitor(s) in a multi-monitor setup? Using a wider primary monitor usually leads to an increased angle of the secondary monitor(s). This should lead to noticeable reflection. Can you comment on this?

I bought the light and currently use it on a dual monitor setup. It works great in about any lighting condition! No reflections at all.

Wont work on bezel less monitor nowadays with the clamp pressuring the screen .

Does this remember the last settings used? And does this turn on automatically after a power cut?

Good day.. Thanks for this detailed and informative review.. Just wanna ask if do you still recommend this?

Genuine Question; For dual monitor setups would one halo light suffice centered between both monitors or is ine reccomended for each monitor

for a cheaper version with similar capabilites, except the autodim. check out the light from Xiaomi!

I researched many of the cheaper versions and the one significant feature that the BenQ offers is it's lifespan. It is most likely the only monitor light you will ever have to buy.

So its literally just a desk lamp...
@ElevatedSystems2 жыл бұрын
No, a desk lamp causes a significant glare on your display. This is specifically designed to illuminate the workspace without causing any glare on your display.

do you recommend getting one for each monitor? I have dual 27" LCD's. @ElevatedSystems

Depends how you have them positioned but I have two 28" displays and 1 works for me.
