I can vouch for this as well. I adore and have done all of these secret related quest lines and tasks. The Waist of Time, Uuna, Baa’l, and the rest. These are easily some of the most interesting one off single player adjacent content I’ve done in the game in my opinion.

@@Kylora2112 It's doable with a Holy Priest if you use Power Word: Shield (with Body and Soul talent) and Angelic feathers. You alternate them to chain your cooldowns for a long sprint. Holy Nova for aoe spam and Shadow Word: Pain for ranged kills

this kind of content, no. It's not possible for 99% of players to even notice these "quests" exist. They're discovered and solved by people who are dedicated to secret finding. The only realistic way that someone will complete this is by hearing about it, looking it up online and following a guide. Idk about you but I don't think that should be a new players experience

@@TownPortals They actually did a small thing this patch - the green dragons there can now once again drop "Dreamscale" when skinned. this material was missing since cataclysm, only used in one recipe, which was impossible to make! My hope is that is a hint there is more to come, especially with the green dragon plots coming up in the main story.

Just to clarify for other commenters, this is still the Wrath version of Naxx, meaning no Corrupted Ashbringer, and if you already have the original Argent Dawn Commission, or Specteral Essence, you can skip those steps. Each run of Naxx will also net you 15 Stones, not 14.

The guide skips to mention how to get Exalted with Argent Dawn in order to unlock the Naxxramas portal. Argent Dawn reputation is unlocked through the questline given by Fiona starting at the wagon near the border between EPL and WPL. The quests required to unlock Argent Dawn reputation takes about 20-30 minutes total. Once progressed through the chain, completing Lord Maxwell Tyrosus's quest "Argent Call: The Trial of the Crypt" will then bring the player to Revered reputation.

In this case it's not that the new players skipped the old naxx it's that the grind and the skill level required for naxx 40 was so hard very few people ever cleared that version before it was moved to northrend for naxx 10/25

I remember back in the day we created a team of the 10 best players we knew of to run ZG every week. We had a list of who got the mount, and when they got it, and we just knocked them all out in order. LOL this is not a good way to try and get Phylacterweave at all. Blizzard made sure you could make good use of them wow tokens aka your credit card!

There are a couple things I should say that weren't addressed in the video. That being, there is a second location that Archmage Domatos could be, which is right outside the entrance to the ruins of the scarlet enclave. Second thing would be, there are actually 15 scourge stones you can farm off naxxrammas, not 14.

If you had the argent dawn commission in the past but have deleted it, you can head to light’s hope chapel to get a replacement. You cannot make a new one, so if you can’t loot the cracked one, check your bank and void storage and then check with argent dawn.

Im going to say this as delicately as possible. ITS NOT OLD NAXX I was one of those who started after BC was live and never experienced even a farm run of Old Naxx so naturally i was excited to do this Yes you do unlock "old" Scholomance but thats it. All you technically doing by completing the chain to unlock "secret access portal to Naxx" is you are adding the grappling hook / grapple points into the Wrath Naxx raid (for those expecting to see T3 Naxx similarly to Old Scholo you will be extremely disappointed If you dont believe me, when you zone in my bigwigs addon pops up to tell me it cant load Wrath Naxx raid bosses because i dont have it turned on. Ok , wierd. But then i zoned out through the green swirl portal to find myself in Northrend Killing Sapphiron even gets you a Focusing Iris drop ( the Malygos raid item for Eye of Eternity )

The version you "unlock" isn't the OG version, it's the Wotlk version with a goblin hiding in it. Said goblin has you collect tons of stuff and then will charge you about 2.8 million gold in unadjustable vender mats per T3 set you want to craft.

What about Protection Paladin with AoE build that dips into Retribution? Hammer of the Righteous instead of Blessed Hammer (because Hammer of the Righteous does more overall damage than Blessed Hammer and aggros less extra mobs), etc. etc. I started in Cataclysm and after a week of being told Rogues couldn't tank, created a Paladin.

I never got to experience old Scholomance. Unlocking it felt so special. It felt like I was experiencing a piece of history. It's so rare you get to do things like that - even outside of WoW.

And for vets like me , who discarded all these items, because we only had limited bag space and bank space.... it's a slap to the face. the mount is a reskin, and useless in the new zones, doesn't fly, so it's pointless all together in old zones .... Mounts shouldn't be a "Pokémon" idea.... but it is ... and here we are ... Quests should give you something WORTHWHILE, especially *hidden* quests like this ... not another mount , amongst what over 600 mounts ? And the gear ? Irrelevant. it's a cosmetic item now, which LOTS of vets WISH they hung on too, because we did not HAVE the bag space , nor bank space to keep said items. Nor did we have the amount of ALTS we have now, for "bank alts" .... And the praise Blizz is being given, is going to stall NEW content. They are gonna go back and see what they can revive for classic wow, because they saw the success of classic .... All they are doing is bringing classic to current ... nothing NEW. "We are hard at work, resurrecting things we forced you all to get rid of, oh and by the way, we literally just have to click an on/off switch for those "cosmetics" to come back" I am beyond pissed off about this .....

I did all the bosses without the trinket on and never got an invaders scourgestone, then I put it on and did it again and was getting them. Maybe its just bad luck but I had to seem to have the trinket on to get them.

The only bad thing about all of this is that it costs you MINIMUM 2,8mil gold to get that T3 set which is an unrealistic price because getting all the tokens and farmable materials all by yourself will take forever without buying them from the auctioneer... It's just another feature that wants to make wow tokens more "tasty".

Slight Correction, you get 15 Scourgestones per full clear of Naxx, not 14. Additionally, if you don't want to spend a massive amount of money on Phylacterweave, the Dessicated items have a chance to drop it in addition to their equipment. I got 15 just from doing farms for the Lamented items

So, opening the old Scholo dungeon was nice, would be nice if they did that to all the dungeons, but I cannot believe they put all this time and effort of a secret questline just to send you to Wrath Naxx. A raid that is just a portal and short flight to get to in Northrend. Unless you're farming the old T3 mogs... which can be bought on the BMAH for a mere 10k instead of millions of gold, this part is an absolute waste of time. There's no special mogs to be had here because it's all of that ridiculous Wrath type armor that not a single person would ever mog and we most likely have already. It would have been neat to see them integrate the Naxx raid into Stratholme through that old entrance where you destroy the Hand, but no, can't even get that part right, gotta have some random crystal for an entrance out in the middle of nowhere that no one can find (seriously, I had to look it up because it's not near any specific landmarks). And Blizz wonders why people are leaving in droves, they promise everything and deliver nothing.

Seeing that the game is going B2P soon at steam, this is a good way to bring old players back, the issue is that many stuff still needs to be restored, like flawless arcanite rifle and the armor and weaponsmith sets as lw specializations stuff too

lol yeah no, that's not gonna happen, Blizzard aint about to throw MILLIONS of dollars away. just the F2P stuff. and no, WoW is never gonna go F2P, if it goes F2P, the game is officially dead.
