These 3 songs you reacted to from New Wave are originals written for him. He was not actually competing that year but was one of the judges. Those 3 songs just show that he can sing in multiple genres but you still haven’t seen or heard it all yet. He has sung on movie soundtracks. He raps on Be With Me MV. Try Olimpico to get a taste of his opera vibe. He also has moments in some of his songs where he sounds like a musical instrument (such as an electric guitar in his song Across Endless Dimensions). At some point you will have to watch his Story of One Sky video (but listen to some of his other stuff first to prepare yourself)! As a videographer you will be blown away because it was a 3 year project where he composed the music, wrote the screenplay and showed off his acting skills - all to serve his message of world peace. No cover, Joe, Fly Away was composed for Dimash and his backup singer wrote the lyrics! The contemporary Russian dance troupe Todes surrounded him in this tableau of breaking away from the masses. Dimash was a juror at this New Wave , and premiered three new songs there...Fly Away, Stranger, and Ave Maria; all three very different. He can sing in any genre and style he wants, and interprets each song as he sees fit. If you are only into Dimash songs that showcase the extremes of his range, noted. We will try to oblige, but of course there are few if any songs written for the human voice (including Dimash's!) that use 5,6 or 7 octaves! I would humbly suggest, tho, that you never consider housing the thoughts "filler" and "Dimash " at the same time in your head again! Just sayin! More Dimash, please! (Ocean Over The Time, Go Go Power Rangers, Olympico, Across Endless Dimensions, Passione, and Know (at New Wave) are a few to consider!

This song is based on a true story, about a cable car accident that took the lives of 14 people. 2 of those were a couple, who lifted their son to safety in their last moments. They did not survive. This is Dimash's song not a cover. It's far from a weaker song as it was actually in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for months which is something that hasn't been achieved by any of his other songs. As much as the Dears try to tell reactors not to put Dimash in a box, unfortunately a lot of them try to. He's not just a singer, he's a musician and pretty much the Da Vinci of music because he's continually trying out new genres, sounds and songs. He's completely unpredictable and you never know what he's going to do next. In the last year he's gone from doing a song that practically covered every style of music in one, then a song that combined opera with pop, then something completely pop, a beautiful soulful ballad and the next song due out on the 24th is a complete club track done in collaboration with a world famous DJ.

Another very enjoyable reaction. “Fly Away” is the second of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. Dimash did not compete here. Although I enjoyed the song for its lyrics, musical arrangement, and stage performance, it is not one of my favorites. I guess after "Stranger" the bar has been set unrealistically high for me. That being said, I was impressed that Dimash did not feel the need to dazzle us with his usual vocal gymnastics but simply delivered a performance that was by some standards "average". It attests to his complete confidence in his ability as an artist; he knows who he is and what he is capable of, and he will allow himself to create and perform whatever style of music he wants to, rather than feel the need to constantly impress the audience. This was probably his least vocally challenging song and I would love to watch someone hear him perform "Stranger", "SOS", "Sinful Passion", or "Love is Like a Dream" after hearing Dimash's "Fly Away" as their introduction to him. They would likely experience an emotional meltdown. Much respect for staying true to yourself Dimash.

The dancers are with an acclaimed Russian ballet company. This performance was from the same night as Stranger and Ave Maria. All three were the public debuts of all new songs. It was right after people were able to gather again after COVID slowed down, and it was a big deal. 😊 This reaction was a great example of why his fans often say it takes watching about a dozen Dimash videos before you get a feel for his range of styles and abilities, and there are always favorites. 👍🥰 He loves to use dancers, btw, especially in concerts. And he learned how to dance bc his fans wanted him to...lol. Always aiming to please. 😁 He's gotten good at it!

Nice reaction. Yes, Dimash doesn't always use his full range or lots of vocal acrobatics in his songs. If you like dance, take a look at Dimash's videos for "Znai" ("Know") and "Love of Tired Swans". I agree with you. There are 3 relatively recent Dimash songs that share a similar EDM/House vibe: "Fly Away", "Together", and "Weekend". I rarely listen to any of them, so if you don't care for "Fly Away", you probably wouldn't enjoy the other two.

After covid lockdowns he came to New Wave festival with three totally different songs:this Fly away, Stranger and Ave Maria (don’t know in which order). I love it JE. You can clearly see that Dimash's voice moves you. I think we all can relate to that. I'm 53 yrs old, played trumpet for 20 years and no other singer has moved me like Dimash has. He reaches in, grabs your soul and takes you on an incredible vocal ride every time. For me, I like this song but when you hear this song after hearing many of Dimash's other songs where he shows his incredible vocal skills I feel Dimash is too good for this type of track. It left me wanting so much more but I like that he sings many different genres and in all of them his voice is like melted butter, sliding up and down the octaves with ease and the sound of his voice is so pure. The man is truly a generational talent and we get to hear him during our lifetime. Can you image being there and hearing him live.......nothing short of incredible. You have so much more to hear from him that will blow your pants off over and over and over. Glad to be on the journey with you.

I love the way it was done here but Dimash has set the bar very high, not only for others but even for himself so that our high expectations can leave us feeling not quite as satisfied. I would say it doesn't make an accurate first impression for anyone new to Dimash as it's the thrill of all his excellence that grabs the greatest number of people. Dimash is so much more than just the range. He won this competition in 2015. Now he goes there each year (except during the COVID pandemic) as a judge and to show the sort of talent competitors should aspire to. He won the grand trophy in this year, the same year he performed "Stranger" and "Ave Maria" (for previous winner who'd gone farthest in his career.) Those two performances showed off his full abilities, so he was evidently showing off his range in genres by tossing this one in. Probably a bit of a breather for him. All of his concerts mix up the program like this. If he only sang the maximum difficulty songs he'd probably collapse at the end of 3 hours of that. Yes, he gives very long programs.

This song was the third in a trilogy specifically created to be sung one after the other. Stranger, Fly Away and Ave Maria. It takes the listener from reincarnation and rebirth, through finding your own way through life (not following the herd), then finally going back to the Creator with the song Ave Maria - where your soul leaves your body and travels to the heavenly realm. Some of my faves for dancing are in his Digital Show 2021, which he recorded live and released during the pandemic after his concert tour had to be cancelled. Examples of the danciest of these are Golden and Keili Meken. The official MV for Golden is a dystopian futuristic thriller and also well worth watching. Yeah this isn’t a competition for him. He was a star guest judge on an international competition. He premiered the 3 NEW songs you watched on 3 separate nights. stranger, Fly Away & Ave Maria. He’d never done anything exactly like any of them. Fly Away was a departure for him into more mainstream sound. You may have missed out on how great it was due to expectations of hearing something else. With Dimash it’s best to throw out expectations & just experience each new piece of art. If you’re just listening for the vocal acrobats etc you’ll be missing out

I think Dimash likes to sing all kinds of genre. His concerts are three and a half hours long so he couldn’t sing one emotionally draining, physically demanding song after another. The audience would be exhausted too. So having a few pop type songs scattered through gives his voice a chance to rest, for the audience to clap along and I’m sure they appeal to a younger viewer too. I’m 78 and I love whatever he sings even the bit of rap he does. Daybreak, Ogni Pietra,, Passion, War and Peace, adagio, The Show must go On, Opera 2 are some of the demanding ones.

I think this was a very personal song for Dimash. Listen to the lyrics. Expectations are so high for him and it was his statement that he may need to break away from the high regard his Dears have for him and just be his creative self. It also is a statement to music producer's mechanical approach to developing performers. .."I see perfect system download... set me free I want to fly away." Dears were a little shocked when this first came out with the push back from his constant humble and nice guy image. He keeps saying he's not perfect at all. Please listen to Ikanaide.

This is an origional song, he never sings a song the same way twice. He was many low key songs, he sings for the song if it is soft he sings soft etc.😊
