Am I the only one who has big trouble hearing Frugal Daddy? I have to have my sound up to 100 and then when Frugal Mommy comes on I get blasted out of my chair!!!! This is the only channel I have trouble with 😞

I have same problem because Frugal Daddy speaks very softly and Frugal Mommy speaks very loudly. With FD I have to turn up volume and as soon as I see FM I hurry to turn the volume down before my eardrums are blasted.

What I do when that chill comes in the air at night when it’s warmer in the day, I put on weighted blankets. Makes sleeping so cozy. U don’t have to buy them, u just use a heavy blanket with some weight to it, not a comforter that lay softly on top of u. U want the airtight blankets that don’t give any room for air. Try it. It works incredibly well. Only took me 35 years to find out!

Amy I saw this awesome way to plant potatoes. You get one of those 5 gallons pails like Lowes or Homedepot. You cut out the bottom, fill it with nice soft soil, when the potatoes are ready, you just pull up on the handle & the potatoes just fall out. No digging to get the potatoes!!! I’m going to try it myself!

I have been watching a lot of gardening videos. I was so surprised at how many things can be wintered over. I noticed the Strawberry field made it through the winter this year. I want to can Jams and Jellies this year.

Onions had started sprouting green tops so I stuck them into my poinsettia plants that had started fading; Green shoots grow up about an inch a day. Loving having green onions to snip with scissors and sprinkle on scrambled eggs, into a baked potato and on chili. Free, free, free. Wil transfer outside on Mother's Day, our cut off day for no more frost in Central Ohio. Happy Spring.

You can eat potatoes that are sprouting and they taste fine. Saves waste. If you have a lot boil them up, mash them with seasoning a dash of milk and a knob of butter, and freeze the mash in portions. Mash is fantastic with breakfast sausages and caramelised onions.

We scrap on Sundays. We found a 20 gallon aquarium. Still just fine and very clean. I'm going to make something like ahot bed. Turn it upside down, on a tomato plant, that I haven't bought yet. When the threat of frost has past, and mother nature throws one last frost at us.

We also found a nice Rubbermaid garden bench , that has a nice storage space under the seat. It is like new. At the same house, we found a compoast container, that's on it's own stand,brand new. I'm so excited.

I'm in Illinois, center. Friday we tilled up the garden. I thought we pulled up the carrots, but we didn't. There was 1 large carrot that just flipped out, like saying,"Hey , here I am. About that time, the tiller took another swipe , and it got chewed up. I'm just going to let it stay.

You really need to be a very wise shopper all the time . When I shopped for my family we had Acme , Shop-Rite , Stop and Shop plus path-mark very close to our home. Every week I’d take the ads and price check everything . I also refunded box tops and other things the company wanted to get free meat eggs one time I went and when everything was checked out the store owed me money it was only a few cents but I didn’t complain

U need to read up on a potato storage box that ur store potatoes in the winter. We used to do that and lime the potatoes but there is different ways to store them now. Sprinkle coffee grounds on ur vegetables beds and work into ur dirt also egg shells are good to.

We have had the coldest winter I have ever experienced in California. I moved here in ‘89 (from Jersey) and it’s like an east coast winter. Freezing in mornings, like covering the plants for months off and on. It’s weird. Not in 34 years have a felt this.

Remember shopping at ShopRite. Then, Mom attempted to teach about spending money on the special item and being frugal on all else. We got our milk in gallon glass jars with four inches of cream. Only thing in Spring the wild onions sprouted and the cows ate them. We still drank the milk😂.

Hope you had a Happy Easter. Sometimes if you leave plants in the ground long enough they will reseed themselves. I have a garden full of lettuce and I haven't planted lettuce for over a year. Some flowers will reseed themselves too. That's why our state has California Poppies all over. You find them along roadways that are not irrigated or tended to. Some of your garden may be reseeding itself. I too love tulips. I hope to remember to get some bulbs this fall for a nice spring display. Daffodils too. Thank you for sharing. P.S. Get the store apps to compare prices. Also you can Google the item and it will sometimes show where it's available and at what price. It helps to figure out who has the best value.

I live on the East Coast, Beach and we don't have that many stores around here really, Walmart Aldi, Food Lion, and Lowe's grocery and Harris Teeter and that's it for grocery stores. And Lowe's Grocery and Harris Teeter are expensive
