WOW Multiboxing in 2022

With all the changes to World of Warcraft multiboxing over the past few years, this video will walk you through the process of setting up multiboxing in 2022.

Very nice :) German WoW Multiboxer here, still having fun with 8 toons and 2x4 farming in retail and grinding with 8 toons and 2 groups in Classic as well. It's a little bit more of a hassle compared to former input broadcasting, but this way it's manual oldschool boxing again :) I left a like and a abo, of course!

Just putting this in here for those still coming across this, it does still work. blizzard changed the /click mamaassist you now have to do /click Mama Follow in the macro now great video easy to understand for someone who has never multiboxed

it works on Warmane but i have to manually click each window, dont mind too much its pretty cool ! LOl

I want to play SWTOR ( I don't macro - I just like having multiple accounts on to make trading easy, and opening maps: Exploration etc.) but the game won't play the game in standard mode... it requires admin mode. The program will not play games that require admin mode. Is there a way around this?

Great video. Question for you. When you were setting up the auto follow you moved the 1 guy away and then you hit the auto follow key from the main window not from the toon the wasn't following window. If that's acceptable why can't you hit a key on your main window to tell the other characters to cast frostbolt? I'm not talking about hitting the 1 key a single time on your main window and ALL the other windows cast at the same time with one key stroke. That would be against the multiboxing rules. But, is it against the rules to have the mouse over the main window, hit the 1 key and the main casts frost bolt. Then from the main window hit the 1 key again and the second window casts a frostbolt. Hit 1 again and the third casts frostbolt and so on down the line.I just hate the fact of having to moving the mouse over each window. Anyway, great video man.

I also asked myself this question. How does he get all his characters to follow him by pressing only once on a single key when he explains all his video that each character must have an action from each of the game windows...

i suspect you've gotten answers to this by now but other people might find it i guess. 2 parts to this comment. 1) why is it legal to have the alts follow the main with just 1 button? that's the mama addon, probably using a background addon channel (i.e. SendAddonMessage()) to talk to each other. lots of addons do this, and it's entirely a matter of what blizzard's addon api allows you to do (e.g. it's up to blizzard if the api lets you /follow someone based on SendAddonMessage() and no other input). afaik they've in fact changed the api so this isn't possible anymore. 2) is it legal to cast frostbolt on other boxes while the mouse is on the main box? yes, via round-robin! or at the very least the rule in the tos only explicitly talk about mirroring inputs (i.e. broadcasting) and round-robin is not enforced, and hasn't for the 2 years it's been since blizzard specified the multiboxing rules. there was a lot of panic at the time but that's all it was. either way, round robin is entirely supported by wowopenbox and has been for years now without blizzard making a fuss. it just captures your inputs and cycles which box gets it, so if you hit 11111 it sends one 1 to each box.

Great job!! I stopped Boxing right before the new policy came along. I was Boxing 11 Unholy DKs and 4 Resto Shammies. It was sooooooooo much fun and I dearly miss it. I was using ISBoxer and never had an issue with banning. Even though I got reported many times but GMs would contact me and they new most people would create fake reports due to their lack of understanding of the hobbie. I understand there is a walk around to make it work but I used it exclusively for raid WPVP so is a no go for me.

How did you managed to get heirlooms on each account if they are starter edition ?

heirlooms are bound to your blizzard account. the same with alot of other items/titles. so you can create new wowaccounts and as long as they are on the same blizzard account they all get the items. just like when you pay for 6 month sub and get a pet all accounts get it too

I used a chrome extension to boost the volume, comes in pretty handy when youtubers have lower than average volumes, sometimes distorts their audio a lot though if they're super quiet.

windows has build in loudness EQ , right click audio icon > clicks "sounds" > then right click your speakers and go to properties, the setings you would want are in the enhancements tab, that should solve the issue in 95% of cases without needing to download anything, it should be more forward facing since its so damn handy and yet most people dont even know it exists!

Stopped the video at 2:10 because that method isn't even in the same universe as efficient. Having to physically click each window is ridiculous....absolutely ridiculous. If this is the only way to multibox in WoW these days then it should be considered a dead and buried practice....which sucks because i had a blast dual boxing back in the day :(

You don't have to physically click each window, if you watch the full video, he shows a setting for just having you mouse highlighting that window.

The other way around blizzard is more expensive which is going hardware instead of software

With minimal effort you can setup focus window on mouseover (in windows) which eliminates the need to click each window. He also has a way to do the same with WoWBox. I am not sure how long Blizzard will allow it since from what I understand you can round-robin with it and this may violate the terms of service. @@michaelwhatley err...thanks for doubling down? Illegal means breaking a law. The TOS is a contract of sorts, which would mean, at improbably worst, it would be a civil concern. So violating the TOS is not a legal violation---illegal--but is breaking an agreement between two parties. A better word might be 'a violation of TOS'. as there are remedies in the TOS itself--you can simply be denied access to the game. There's no greater reach.
