How does this technique compare to the BetterPress letter press plates? Similar results or very different? Have you ever tried using acrylic paint in your embossing folders? It works surprisingly well; you would think paint would be left behind, but not really. In that case, I think I’d use Ranger’s Archival Ink since it plays well with acrylic paint. I thought about it during this video because I like to emboss my gel prints which I typically make with acrylic paint. But I didn’t ever think about adding paint to the folder before embossing. Or Archival Ink. Some ideas to play with. Intriguing possibilities. Thanks for making me think.

So so pretty! This is a great technique and adding the brayered ink to the “background really makes it pop! My favorite was the gold press and silver brayer on the dark blue background. Question: you didn’t have to mist the paper with water first? TYFS ❤️🦋💜

I love all of your videos, but I'm confused on this one. Wouldn't it save you a step if you went with a darker colored cardstock in the beginning so you wouldn't have to use a brayer to darken the background? This technique is super cool and I'm going to give it a try, but I just wanted your thoughts and opinions on this. I learn so much from you and appreciate all that you do. Thanks in advance.

The cards are beautiful and I love them but one thing is confusing to me. I don’t get why, if you are going to paint the lighter card stock darker, why you don’t just use darker cord stock? I just get confused by that steps. I still think your cards are lovely!

Hi Jennifer I just loved this video. I had tried this before watching your video and it didn't work out too well for me. However after seeing your method I'll try it again. I have a question for you, is this really not a direct competition for Best impressed system that's new from spellbinders it looks like it actually achieves the same results. I love their new system and the ease of using it however although Spellbinders have lots of wonderful accessories for the new system doing your method above results in beautiful cards as well and is a lot less expensive.

The great thing is - if something goes wrong on your indented side, you can save it and use the other side! I know, it's just paper ... But I have throwing something out I worked on ...
