The dunk meter should just fluctuate like the layup meter but the size of the meter should be based off your opponents interiors defensive rating

@@ohajae It does to some degree but not really. The dunk meter is either massive since no one is standing in front of you or if the defender is to your side. Or it’s very small because a defender is standing in front of you/if some is in the paint for one second when you start your meter. The meter logic for dunks is pretty flawed. Don’t even start on standing dunks too which are completely broken and are always massive. 2k just needs a way to fix all this for the community to enjoy a balanced game and stats to matter more.

To fix the dunk meter they need to make better collision models because there are tons of time where a player hands goes through your player and strips or blocks the ball. Also size , body type , vert, interior defense , speed and position needs to be affect the meter. They should also stop bages from dictating animations and let our stats do the talking.

There’s only one problem. Those can’t play on different builds. They’ll drop 50 post a build n evrybody will gravitate towards it. But what they don’t see is a rare build bussin that azz. 2k will never fix interior defense yet alone defense in general. I remember when youtubers got flown out to the 2k community day event and they was showing us vids of the quick play games of them making dumb layups and Joe Knows has a breakdown vid of it. They were saying that the defensive rating might not matter and it wasn't🤦🏿🤦🏿! Every year 2k says that they fixed interior defense but when we play it. It's broken like do they even know how to fix anything?

I stopped meter dunking running down the middle because that sht never works…. If someone is standing in the paint under the rim and you try to meter dunk (no matter how tall the person is) the green window just goes away….. Like how am I 6’8 90 driving, 85 strength & I can’t post a dude that’s 6’4……

61 interior and 79 block is all you need after that point there’s not really a difference in shot contest and blocks only post move defense is noticeable

People gotta remember one thing about the meters bruh, they can’t add a little more of green or we shooting like curry in 2017 lmao, and with the dunk meter it shouldn’t be a big window at all for any contact unless there’s an open space which is already in the game, but what they didn’t do was change that depending on the defender, a 6”4 guard with 25 strength, 25 block, and 25 interior defense should not be able to deplete my meter, my meter should be big

I hear you as far as the standing dunk but as far as the driving dunk, I don’t know like there’s times even though I have a 94 driving dunk and all my badges are at either gold or Hall of Fame as far as me finishing a paint there’s times it takes me out of animation Even when the person has no defense and this is with a big green window, I’ve been seeing that more and more but maybe some people just know how to take you out of animation I can see if I have a small green window and they take me out of animation. I understand but if I have a huge green window in this dude has no interior defense that’s crazy work. There’s times the driving done feels broken and there’s times it doesn’t work at all. And I’m not talking about small green windows. I’m talking about huge ones and I’m just taking out of position out of nowhere.
