@@rottenrebels I have only tried the perfumes from the la Route de la Soie collection and one more, Prive. I really found most of them extremely interesting but I distinguished Tanger and Byzance. I still need to try a lot more from this house. I m very intrigued by Champaca and another one called Tolu. Thank you so much for your videos about this House, I learned a lot and am looking forward to learning more 🌼🌺 as I understood your favorites are Montabaco and Champaca!

Try Nawab of Oudh, it’s so beautiful that I bought the intense version. There is no oudh, it’s just a beautiful perfume. I fell in love with it . I own Tolu and the Royal elixir

Schinus molle is California pepper tree, and they are very fragrant with resin, herbaceous freshness and the pink peppercorns.

Thank you for your review of the Ormonde Jayne discovery sets. Great reaction and description. I currently have 3 Ormonde Jayne fragrances: Evernia, perfect for summer weather, Ta'if, all seasons and all occasion fragrance and Champaca, an easy Spring, Summer, Fall fragrance. Next on my list from Ormonde Jayne wish list are: Levant and Damask. Love the quality and the uniqueness of her line, just beautiful.

I am extremely annoyed that I watched this video. A little shop by my house carries Ormonde Jayne and I was immediately blown away by the craftsmanship. They were such a departure from my usual deep heavy opulent scents. The OJ were opulent but more like the finest spun silk and handcrafted Venetian lace. Less plush velvet, brocade, and gilded glamor. Classy, timeless, stunning, yet utterly unexpected. I went home with two. I wanted to explore more from this house so I did a google search and found your review. Sir. Ma’am… how dare you. Do you know how broke I am about to be?

Schinus molle is the Peruvian Peppertree so I'm pretty sure it's referring to "pink pepper" -- the tree has red/pink berries.

Have you sampled Isfarkand? This scent, along with Zizan are my favourite from Ormonde Jayne. I find them such wonderful fragrances kept for special occasions and which is why I think I can justify spending a little bit more than average on these scents. I'm surprised to read comments regarding the longevity though. Almost all their scents last ages with me. Some literally will only require two sprays as they're so potent! Anyways, keep up the good work with your videos and look forwards to future ones.

Thank you! 🙏 Zizan is a fab one, along with a lot of others from Ormonde Jayne.. I'm not sure how I managed to miss Isfarkand though 😆 Gotta try it soon! These are definitely high end and incredibly well made perfumes that 100% deserve to come out on those special occasions. 😊 You will stand out with most of OJ perfumes for sure. 👌 I agree on the performance.. Most of these have a high perfume concentration and do last quite a bit. I think often it might be a case of olfactory fatigue.. Happens to me quite often when I think the scent is gone and people around me clearly can pick it up. Which ones do you own?

I love isfarkand as it reminds me of Escentric 01 which was the scent which led me on my perfume journey! I'm slowly working my way through the collection. As you mentioned in the video - there as so many quality scents, and admire the creativity - but many don't quite suit me. For example - I love their use of rose - but i feel that many smelling it on me would perceive it as too feminine. I feel that some are a little too loud for me. Tolu and Royal Elixir being good examples. They're incredibly well made - but just not "me". I do feel that there's another hidden gem in their collection which I've yet to find. Interestingly enough I've yet to sample Orris Noir so will hopefully experience this in the near future!

I have Montabaco Intensivo too, but Ormonde Woman has always been my #2. Still warming up to Ormonde Man edp, but I just sampled Montabaco Verano and it's really tempting me! Great fresh take on Intensivo.

Ormonde Man was a unique one indeed.. It was interesting from the get go and after a few minutes even more impressive.. But to my nose it was quite different from most other perfumes. Not sure if it was that unique black hemlock or the whole composition that brought it something truly unique 😊

Hey!! Guess what??? I just got the package ORNONDE JAYNE and this are first impresión. All of them are very well blend….. Montabaco is fenomenal, I’m impressed with nawab of oudh this is very clean smell for oud note. I might get a full bottle. Then evernia very smooth woody smell, love it…… TSARINA is beautiful fruity semisweet floral and to my surprise I enjoy it very much. And the last one I don’t dislike but Don’t get me any wow emotions when I first sniff it was champaca, it is a little green kinda vegetables smell. And I don’t want to smell like a salad 😂 😂 Anyway I just wanted to thank you a bunch because somehow thanks to your videos my collection started to grow and grow. 🙏

@@rottenrebels hi rebel...I have 16 samples and sadly just 4 of the theme was in your review 1.Qi 2.Tsarina 3.MONTABACO 4.Champaca so I test them with you and yes This house is amazing Perfumery I love them all but Montabaco is Top notch so I have 12 left that gona to sniff them so I return by more rank list :) I love the tea note that she uses in her perfume a lot one question: did you think Tsarina has some similarities to enigma roja perfume? coca vibes in a lighter version?

I love Ormonde Jayne so much. I've tried so many of their fragrances and I like the majority of them. Ta'if Elixir and Ormonde Elixir are my favorites, and I'm so interested in Qi, Tsarina, Privé, and the Montabaco flankers!

Orris Noir is such a weak nothing scent. I’m disgusted with myself for blind buying it. Why are so many OJ perfumes so weak. Worse than edt. And I’ve tried almost all of them . I own Taif, Tolu, Nawab of oudh and Royal elixir. I love them but they’re not as strong as they could be. They don’t last more than an hour, maybe less. I am VERY disappointed in the longevity of all Ormonde Jayne. Even their Intensive are not much better. Yeah they are all such nice scents, but you’ll go thru a bottle very very fast. And for that reason I will not repurchase. Well maybe the Tolu. I will have to contact OJ and special order the 50% strength and pay more. Which sux. They make them weak and then offer this service for a lot more money. Really shitty of Ormonde Jayne.

Oh noo 😯 You sure it's not due to Olfactory fatigue? First times when I started using my Ormonde Jayne perfumes I could feel the scents on me, but some of them only quite lightly (others very strongly), but people around me could clearly pick them up from distance. Taif and Nawab are two of those where I feel them on me lightly, but others can clearly pick up the scent from like 1-2 meters away. It does suck when you love a scent but it doesn't work on your skin.. A few of my Byredo perfumes are like that 😆

They use less synthetics, and zero phalates... so maybe the longevity is compromised, but the scents being more naturally derived could be a huge benefit for our endocrine and neurological systems, and the planet❤❤❤
