For an not-so-obvious summer scent, I like Vanilla Vibes from Juliette Has A Gun. Most of my other vanillas are too sweet and thick for high heat. Vanilla Vibes is more airy and less overwhelming.

I am from and live in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. And do have a recent love that fits into this category - Ricina by V Canto. It is a strange one - aquatic, citrusy, clean peony. It does wonders in high heat. The only gripe I have with it, is the bottle. As with all V Canto bottles, this one is covered in crushed velvet that collects all the lint, dog glitter, and dust from the house like magnet. 😂

When my Valaya (ordered the minute PDM had it on their website) arrived it was a HUGE disappointment and I just left it there next to the other PDM bottles. Weeks later, I tried it again and it is a whole other fragrance, it is gorgeous, lasts forever and now it is loved and used a lot. My summer fragrance this year is Paragon by Initio, it is so grounding and beautiful.

I really appreciate that you raise possible issues or notes that may disturb the wearer. For example, musks makes me VERY dizzy so I don't even bother getting samples of anything with a musk note in it, unless I can confirm that the musk is super light. I live in Atlanta so its hot and humid mostbdays with intermittent rainy cooler days. For the really hot days, I love musks like Another 13, Erba Pura, Musk Therapy, Delina La Rosee or Blue Heart. For the rainy, dreary days I gravitate towards tea scents like Hermes L'Ombre Des Merveilles or light lactonic scents like Im a Musk, Blanche Bête, or Prada Infusion d'Amande.

Veronica, you have an awesome genuine personality and I love your videos. I recently blind bought Eli Saab the original and I am sooooo in love with it. I’ve been wearing that a lot and Chanel Fraiche. Do you remember Lancôme had a perfume in a green tall bottle, forgot the name but I get the feeling that it’s similar to Lotus. It had that lemon grassy citrusy feel. It totally discontinued.

I finally got to sample Pear Inc and immediately fell in love with it… as I wore it the first time though, I got scared that the Pear was too sweet and fruity… i know, Paola, saying something is too sweet?! 😂 it could have been the musk or ambroxan that almost made my stomach turn like Butberry Her did.. good thing I wore it again the next day and it was immediately added to my wishlist.. 😊 and 2 more from the house 😂

Hi Veronica! I’m in Phoenix, Arizona, so (in normal years) it’s relatively warm most of the year, and VERY hot in summer. (Forecasts are for 115F this weekend.) I’m still new to the fragrance obsession and still figuring things out, but this summer I’m enjoying Nishane Wulong Cha, Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Mandarin Basilic, and Silky Woods by Goldfield & Banks (especially for evenings). Honorable mention goes to a scent that may be a year-rounder for me, I-Ristretto by Maison Tahité. I also love Jardins de Misfah by Une Nuit Nomade, but it doesn’t hold up great in our punishing heat, so another one that’s more for evenings or the rare cooler day.
