Porsche introduced a limited-production special during Monterey Car Week to commemorate the 911 Turbo's 50th anniversary. The 911 Turbo 50 Years edition has vintage style both inside and out and will be made in 1,974 copies, commemorating the original's launch year. While the Carrera and GTS versions of the 911 have been upgraded to the 992.2 generation, the special edition Turbo 50 Years remains on the 992.1 base. However, its unique characteristics, especially when combined with the optional Heritage Design package, make it a highly sought-after collectible among Porsche fans. The standard decals on the profile make a subtle tribute to the livery of the 1973 Porsche 911 RSR Turbo concept, which inspired the roadgoing 911 Turbo (930) that debuted in 1974. Another fascinating feature is the Anthracite Grey finish on the rear wing, lower rear fascia, mirror bases, and bumper intakes, which contrasts sharply with the primary body color. The new Turbonite color-exclusive to Porsche's Turbo-badged models-makes its 911 premiere after appearing on the Taycan, Panamera, Macan, and Cayenne. It is used on the anniversary edition's alloy wheels, rear decklid, fuel cap, Porsche crest, and Turbo 50 badging. The engine cover also has "1974-2024" text and a turbo symbol, which appears on the puddle lights. The interior decor is inspired by the 1970s Zeitgeist movement, with strong MacKenzie tartan accents on the seats and door panels. The seatbelts and contrast stitching have Turbonite accents, and the roof liner is covered in perforated RaceTex. Turbo 50 insignia cover the lit door sills, headrests, and numbered anniversary plaque, which are matched by a customized dashboard-mounted clock. Buyers desiring an extra dose of exclusivity and nostalgia might select the Heritage Design Package "50 Years Turbo." This package includes an Aventurine Green Metallic body, a stunning silver hood, and optional silk matte decals reminiscent of old race cars. The decals can be partially or completely removed to achieve a cleaner appearance.
