Our first pull on C'Thun almost 20 years ago was hilarious. We set up positions for 15 minutes, explaining everything, groups left and right. Some dude was curious and looked around the corner to see into the room and boom everyone dies. I laughed so hard.

@@technoxtreme178 Go for it! And if you're crazy enough, go for Self Found too! Or Solo Self Found! Even in those modes, you can still group up to do tough quests out in the world (I think! Although I think solo MEANS 100% solo! But that's not enforced in the game! You can still group if need...) And these are MUCH safer since you can still out run mobs if something goes wrong. But yeah... Guilds and intense group activities like raids and dungeons??? Not for me! But each to their own... So I hope you find your preferred style of game play! Anyway... Good Luck!!! They way something like this was handled in the past with other companies (RIOT games specifically) is called an ID Ban. Blizzard would have to regularly check in and any time an account is identified as him playing on it, that account is banned. The only time I have seen this happen is with Tyler1.

I was in a guild on Wyrmrest Accord called Dragonfly back in 2012. A lady got me kicked due to online jealousy. Knowing I had a 5th low-level alt character, she was informed the character was still in the guild ready to sow chaos!! Because she deleted me from Real ID, she could not verify when I came and went from the game. The extra character was name changed and never logged on again. There was much blow back because it was believed that my character may have become someone's AI girlfriend turned up as the wrong gender. This prank had only a small chance of working costing me $10 for the name change and about 5 minutes on a few occasions to feed the forum posts about how to get rid of me.

As a longtime healer, I confess I rarely checked which box goes with which character. Keep myself alive, keep everyone else healthy, extra emphasis on the tank. Was anyone else doing their job? Iunno if we don't wipe I buff mana regen and hope someone knows where to go next.

People who got banned in csgo for hacking got most of the time also banned on twitch to. Most of the time you just need to report his stream to twitch. Not sure if it’s working with griefing.

In hard-core, once your character dies, it's a done deal. I believe you need to start from scratch again but the gold, items, armor, weapons, hours of effort/leveling - gone-zo. I think it's more like Ironman with just the perma-death thing 🤷‍♀️ - but I am open to be corrected.

Best way to ban these types of players is with hardware id profiles. You can easily get around IP adress or create new accounts, but if each GPU/CPU has a uniqe serial number id , you can blacklist those. It would get too costly to replace hardware just for lols.

He can even get a crap pc and remote play from a top tier pc, not as in controlling it from another but like a cloud service deal where the good pc does the work while second plays via that. 6 survivors, wasnt gonna say anything because this video is old, but since you said it multiple times during the video, only 34 died. I know this because i'm one of the 6, I'm actually the one who first said something about the boss being in the wrong spot but my mic cuts out. I got extremely lucky and was able to petri out, I only had marks from one horseman at the time and got very lucky that they all ran away from me to other players. No extra marks, made it out, but just barely. Was annoying at the time but honestly a memory I'll never forget and in a good way. A lot of the people I've spoken with about Tiny, are actually glad he has video games as an outlet for this type of behavior. Could you imagine what he would be doing to people in real life if he didn't have video games? It could be way worse. Survivor count aside, great video man.

I look at it like this. If you willingly play a mode in a game, where YOU don't have to mess up to lose months of progress, you deserve what happens to you. HC only popped off like it did because people couldn't do Ulduar. You cannot expect to have a mode in a game like wow, that popped off because of guilds dying on Wrath and ONLY coming back for ICC now because of shadowmourne, to not purposely fuck each other over when they know they can cost you weeks, or months worth of progress without you doing anything yourself to cause it. If another player can basically delete your chararcter, it's not a mode worth playing. There is 0 skill in everyone doing their job correctly, and one petty douchebag costing the other 39 people months of progress because he got butthurt that he lost a roll on a mount. I will never touch HC, because I'm not going to have a situation where I get up to use the bathroom, in an inn, or during a raid break, and come back to all my progress gone because of ONE person being a douchebag. Remember in unofficial HC when hunters would drag a high level mob ontop of lv 12s in westfall to kill them and waste hours of their time? Fuck you thought was gonna happen on official HC with no way to overturn a death with something like that happening. Especially when Blizzard very rarely cracks down on griefing like they should. Hell, how many times has Asmon and his viewers completely destroyed a server and had nothing happen. On SoD Asmon was at one point banned on launch because he caused one server to become nearly unplayable with the hundreds of thousands of people following him to the server. He called his Blizzard friend and was unbanned within 5 minutes. Keep in mind, on his stream he said something along the lines of, "Lets fuck this server up" before it happened. He knew what he was doing and specifically had the intention to make the server unplayable and literally caused that. No reprocussions from it. Any other person would have stayed banned had that happened. With environments like that, that exist, you cannot expect people to not go out of their way to grief you and expect Blizzard to actually do anything to rectify it. Playing HC on WoW is literally asking to be griefed.

This. Just this. I haven’t even played WoW personally, I just know about it and learned about it from Captain Grimm’s videos and the hype back when loads of WoW refugees came to FF14. WoW actually shares many features with FF11 that I played for years. SE was pretty good with minimising griefers and forcing cooperative play. But there is a certain viciousness to WoW players that I haven’t seen in the few MMOs I have played. It’s fascinating in its toxicity. But the point is that if someone like me who only knows WoW by reputation, took one look at HC and knew stuff like this would happen then everyone who actually plays should. Honestly the only thing about this story that surprises me is that this guy actually had a motive to f**k that guild over in the form of revenge. My first guess would have been “for the lolz.”

I was in a raiding guild long ago and I have seen many wipes caused by both intentional and unintentional actions. I know its frustrating but when you are going against the latest content unless you have completed it many times where you have it on lock you should never expect to beat it. I was pissed when i did not get the loot I wanted or the AQ mount I really wanted, but I didn't commit to a years long campaign of revenge. Anyway I think the griever in question if he can't get the ban lifted will just get a new account and start over.

The solution is to ban the credit card, share it to all other gaming platforms and ban it there to. Nobody will pay for other gamers anymore.. as they would get their card banned if they did and some one does this. A lot of this would go away. Also maybe require actuall personalID/bankID auth for accounts, atleast on hardcore servers. As it is kinda special place/oportunity for people with nasty behavior.

The thing is though right the TOS works both ways within the behavior section because there are a lot of people who gain enjoyment from being a troll or just being the goofball which inevitably will lead to these kinds of incidences they take enjoyment from being the clown and playing normally is a pain and not enjoyable there has to be a balance because if you force that person who enjoys the clowning to play normally well that detracts from their enjoyment which is against the TOS so there must be a balancing act between the enjoyment of regular players and the enjoyment of the trolls because no matter how strict you make your policy there will always bee trolls and those who seek the disruption of others that is always going to be a thing and the more you crack down on it the more severe they will become because everybody knows the more you make something off-limits the more people want it
