Oh no they see them. The anti cheat doesn't work on purpose because the cheaters also tend to be the one who are willing to spend the most money on the game making new accounts and buying skins. I can also guarantee they count the multiple accounts cheaters use as separate accounts to falsely inflate their player numbers to their shareholders

so many times, as soon as I join the match, I know my team and I are going to get demolished. Like the outcome of the match was pre-destined. The matchmaking is so rigged. When I do good in a match, I know that it is because the matchmaking "let" me. It doesn't feel good. The only thing that determines matchmaking, at least in a public lobby, is the connection. That's it. All these extra contributions to the matchmaking are absolutely unnecessary.

People like to call us conspiracy theorists for this shit, but, if you're paying attention, it really seems to be true. I have a match recorded from MW3 that is almost unbelievable in how the match switched up. My team was obliterating the enemy team, and surprisingly none of them left. All of my shots were connecting and the match felt great. Then, in what was essentially the "middle" of the match when you factor in time and score limits, the entire flow switched. My shots stopped connecting even on stationary targets. I was using the pre nerf DG-58 (one burst kill), and I had two bursts with all six shots connecting not killing someone standing still about ten feet in front of me. The kill feed was littered with my teammates now instead of the enemies. People were even commenting "wtf is going on?" The enemy team got incredibly close to our score then when managed to pull the win out. It absolutely felt like things switched just to artificially balance the lobby. I don't care what people call me or what they think. If Ricochet can be used to screw with gameplay in the middle of the match for cheaters, it can absolutely be used to screw with the gameplay for regular players. In fact, given Activision's track record of having completely busted basically everything, it shouldn't be a shock to anyone if Ricochet happened to "go rogue" and mess up the experience for regular players.

@@NerosCinema I’m also a game developer, and in my game, I use a fairly basic SBMM system. Your skill value doesn’t change too frequently and the players you’re matched with are within a range based on offsets from your skill level. For example, if your skill is 2.0, you can play with players in a range from 1.0 to 3.0. This is a wide enough range to ensure some randomness in matchmaking. From my perspective, the main purpose of SBMM is to separate high-skill players from low-skill players. Rigging matches, or locking players into very narrow skill brackets (where every match feels the same) is a bad idea. Hopefully, AAA studios will move away from such practices.

I‘ve played Apex a lot since it released, tbh the SBMM/EOMM is pretty annoying, but for the most part it‘s acceptable. You know the game is rigged when you see the enemies you‘re facing, but 95% of the time the experience is still fun overall. I’m a top 15% player btw.

I think it's rigged. Primetime Pete and Branch off Bush have been talking about EOMM and how the game is rigged to let the people who buy skins and microtransactions win. It honestly seems that way. Last night I played against a whole team that was way better than me, I kept leaving and the matchmaking would do anything to put me back in their lobby. If they were already playing, the game would make me wait until someone left from their match. If the game was almost up, it waited for them to finish before it put me back in. I tested it out 10 times and the worst one made me wait 7 minutes searching at 64 ping before it put me back with them.

In regard to SBMM: On XDefiant (Yes I still play), I can play with no game audio while listening to something in the background and still go 43-30 or 33-16, and that's playing solo. Hell, I went like 99-42 with a marksman rifle while listening to my Spotify playlist, and in another game, I went melee only with the Assassin's hidden blade and went 20-20 AND got MVP. Sometimes though, I'll run into some guys that I recognize as good players and actually have to try, where I might go 42-42. It's this dynamic that I miss from old COD. You don't know what lobby you'll have until you start playing. You can make predictions, but even good players don't do amazing every game. I just don't understand how anyone could think SBMM/EOMM is a useful system for regular online gaming. They say it's retention, but if it actually was, it'd be a toggle for the players that like it and for those who don't. I kind of rambled but my point is: If you play an online game, you run the risk of getting your shit kicked in occasionally if you are not good. That should just be how it is. I honestly feel like it is insulting for a company to say people don't want to play when they lose too much, they should let the person decide that for themself. Besides, no matter what, if people continue to play a game that they like, the chances are high that they will want to get better at it or will naturally get better at it. No BS is needed for self-improvement.

the worst part about KDR ratios is the constant issues with Packet problems from AV's shit servers. Problem is that people are paying good money for skins, other things etc. AC can't even be bothered to host decent servers for players which is an insult.

Before I watch this video, I actually want to open a discussion. Is it just me or has SBMM not been as bad the past two weeks? At least for me I’ve gotten some great games with a few bad ones, but nothing extreme. It’s actually felt so refreshing and has made me realize how fun the game really could have been if it had stayed the same. What I’ve noticed with matchmaking since 2019 is if I get a bot lobby everyone is rushing to play the obj once I start cooking the lobby and everyone quits but if I’m in a sweaty lobby none of my teammates ever push the obj even when I get streaks and we end up getting spawn trapped and streaked on hard it’s rarely an in between unless I 4-6 stack

First, you're not getting the email by itself; you have to ask for it. Second, it’s not proven in any way that they use all the stats from the list to determine your skill rating. They may track it for other reasons, maybe as part of their anti-cheat system, etc. They could use it to determine if you’re trying to manipulate the SBMM. Heck, they might even track stats that they aren’t using. They may only track them in case they need to use them later, so they have the data available if needed.

No one believes me on how many cheaters are in my lobbies. My overall E/D in bo6 warzone (plunder/br/resurg) is 3.2. In plunder, I have had intense 15 minute battles with 3 man teams of cheaters as a solo and won. No I'm not an insane movement sweat, I used the building layouts, tacticals, knowledge of my enemies, experience with wall hackers. I wonder if situations like these are part of your skill rating.

Got my SBMM data yesterday, still sorting through but skill data is all game average ~250, MWII ~350, MWIII ~300, BO6 ~150 (don’t play this game much, leaving lobbies seems to actually work) VG was around 300. Huge peaks and valleys, no negative values in BO6 but MWIII went as low as -120 for a match. I graphed them and you can really see what part of the camo grind you’re on lol.

Cause it's name is a lie. It's rigged based match making. There is 0 skill involved. Ping manipulation, teammate below 0.5 KD and full stacks of teams vs. just you. Forced wins and forced losses. They should be sued, just like riot games. "Ranked" is more accurately just gambling, the number represents how much people spam, not how good they are.

Hey Nero! Thank you so much for making videos like these. I truly hope Activision and their people see it. My wife and I i are relatively decent players. Matter of fact she usual gets better KDR and more kills than i do. However, we both are consistently and constantly put into matches where we die so freaking much. They say it makes it fun but hell no! It sucks to be constantly dying and feeling like trash players against nothing but consistently higher ranked players. We quit unfair matches often and nothing we do seems to help. Any advice for us, other than to just get better, is appreciated.

I've tried to hop on MW3 (2023) the other day on PC. Call of duty HQ launched, update restart now popped up. Restarded. After that, I've had to go over the another page to actually find the game instead of 10 clickable boxes of BO6. Only to have, guess what, update requires restart popping up. Restarted , got in the menu to only get a crash. After those 5 minutes. My excitement to play it again stopped really quick.

I can absolutely tell when a match is designed to screw me. I can also tell when I’m playing too well in a match because suddenly my aim goes to hell. If I’m not doing well, I’m suddenly hitting shots the are virtually impossible. I had a match where I ended with about a 3.0k/d. I immediately got off the game because I knew SBMM would unleash fiery hell on me for doing well. Having fun and getting better in COD is not allowed. I’m also still waiting for my data from Activision.
