OR- rent a telescope for a week, and take a look at round moons going around round Jupiter, and extrapolate. maybe look at the phases of round Venus as it circles the round Sun.

They say this comet is about 3mi in diameter, but it is 140+k miles from the sun but we are still able to see it so clearly. I would think something that small in astronomical terms would be alot harder to see so easily from earth. Someone please give me some knowledge on this

You don’t see the actual comet, you see the dust around it and behind it. The dust tail is many millions of miles long and lit up very brightly by the sun.

Only the nucleus is 3miles wide. The coma can be thousands and the tail millions of miles long. Easy to see. Halley's Comet is only about 8 miles wide too but can be seen from millions of miles away.
