WOW! SUCH A FAIL AT FAUX LOCS || My First Time with Faux Locs Crochet Method - Beginner

Hey Beauties!
Today I am going to do a break down of how I did my faux locs. The locs are 24 inches long and I have a pack of 6 and only used 2 packs! You can find the hair in my amazon store below.

This wasn't a fail at all. It's a 10/10 for me! LOL! This method is the best way for these kind of locs. The extra wrapping hair is a bonus.

Thank you, Ebony! I appreciate that! LOL you know im very anal about my hair. I just felt like the loc itself didn't stay and my real braid would come out. I think I actually prefer the wrapping method to make sure my braid isn't peeking(lol) through either. But now I know for next time :)

Hey Briana, I wouldn't pay someone else ever again to do my hair professionally. I have my reasons...not worth it. Period. Honestly, you did a good job on your hair and trust I know the way you felt becuz you know how you want it to look but girl it looks amazing to me. Keep pioneering!!

Oh yeah, I'm currently learning to install my own braids as well but rocking hair braided in bantu knots. It's my go to....was just wearing beanies but the scalp needs to breathe, LoL!!

Thank you! It's just without the additional wrapping hair my braid would tip toe out of the loc LOL but I did fix it!

Not a fail, you did good...especially since you did it individually. Maybe next time to save time you can do the edges individually and cornrow the rest. But looks really good. Happy Thanksgiving 🍂

I understand why you said it was a fail, it’s just hard to see it on camera.. You have long hair so it blends in. I see you have braids that are still out, braids that are expose at the roots from when you inserted the loc.. also some braids that didn’t feed all the way through, but I think you still did a good, especially with the corrections.

I think its easier if you did mini braids for the first couple rows but then do cornrows. It would be easier to do crochet that way

My left front part of my hair is straight and the rest is curly like 3b 3c and I have coils. My front part of my hair doesn’t really curl while wet or having product in it. Although the ends do. I definitely don’t use heat often so I don’t think it’s heat damage so should I do a protein treatment to try??🤷🏾‍♀️

I think it didn’t wrap well bc i think u need smaller braids for that loc size....it looks great tho.

The braids were fine to me, I think I just was missing the additional hair needed to wrap my hair.

@@BrianaLynee could be! i am scared to wrap my hair, im afraid its going to be hard to take out. when i did them i felt like my braids showed bc my braids were too big. thats why i said that.
