Styx was one of the first super groups that could sell out stadiums and arenas. I remember when this first came out and at first, we thought it was going to be a like a ballad. But when they hit the change-up, we rocked. Their songs are so diverse from smooth to wild.

They were not a Supergroup. Supergroups are famous musicians from other successful bands who come together… like Damn Yankees, Asia and GTR.

I saw them this summer, and let me tell you. One of the best shows ive ever been to, and ive probably seen like 50-100 bands, and artists in concert. The singer is in his 70s and dances around the stage like a 20 year old.

Hi Shawn and Mel, Styx is one of my top ten favorite bands! I had the privilege of seeing them live when I was in high school. I adored Tommy Shaw! Seeing them live was amazing. If you go down the rabbit hole, you should try "Lady", and "Blue Collar Man"

It is hard to believe this was an Encore song and they still had that much energy! This was one of the best concerts I had the pleasure of attending (twice on this tour but not this Chicago show, which I think was the last of the tour - right where they started).

Great rock band from the 70's-80's. They had so many great songs such as "Lady", "Babe", "Lorelei", "Suite Madame Blue", "Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)", "The Best of Times", "Too Much Time On My Hands", "Show Me The Way", "Don't Let It End", "Why Me", "Borrowed Time", "Rockin' The Paradise" etc.

The guy playing 🎸 and singing is Tommy Shaw, he was with a group for awhile called Damn Yankees. Their song High Enough is a great ballad.

I believe this was from the Return to Paradise Tour which was back in 1996. I saw them that tour at Jones Beach Theater with special guests: Kansas!! What an awesome show!! Both bands really brought their A game with them!

I went to FSU and the mascot is Cheif Oseola and his horse Renegade and they play it before every game before he takes the field! Love it!!🔥🔥

One of the handful of groups who inspired me to make music my way of living. Also one of the greatest shows I've ever seen when Kansas opened for them on their Paradise tour in the early nineties. They played the Paradise album start to finish. These guys have always been dedicated to giving the fans more than their money's worth. They seem to genuinely enjoy each other and revel in getting to play rock stars.

I have a most humble request from the both of you: Terrence Trent D'Arby LIVE from London 1995. The song is called Holding Onto You. This is the version you need to see please. His backstory is rather sad. He is still alive, but left the music industry due to a number of individuals coming up when he was. But he is extremely unique and one of Stevie Wonders favorite artists. He also writes his own music and lyrics. I just know you will be able to appreciate this performance of his. It really is a religious experience for me!

It was shortly after this that they tragically lost their drummer, John Panozzo, who died when he was only 47. Unfortunately, the "rock and roll lifestyle" ended up killing him. Cause of death was gastrointestinal hemorrhaging brought on by cirrhosis, which ultimately was linked back to his alcoholism.

The song is from the late 70s but this recording is fairly recent, like the within last 10 years even probably I can say confidentially. The man in the green shirt Tommy Shaw the singer thats pretty much what he looks like in recent days and the band itself has had a member leave and replaced and so forth, but its mainly the same core, although its more complicated than that.

Please listen to Vince Gill's live performance of "Go Rest High on that Mountain" during the funeral of George Jones. The performance is probably the most powerful live performance ever recorded. I challenge anyone to watch that performance and not feel something.

The first two albums I ever bought were Styx albums.....and they are my wife's favorite band, going back to before we even ever met in high school! Unfortunately, I never saw them in their prime (She did)....but I did see them on the "fair tour" in 2013 wit three members of the classic lineup...and it was great, nonetheless!

You two need to re-listen to Eagles "Lyin' Eyes" since you did the radio edit. That version omits the tryst she has on the cheatin' side of town. Maybe do the live version. Glen sings every verse. Almost makes you feel sad for the lonely rich girl in the big house in the Hollywood hills who missed out on her college years.
