I LOVE this!! I like the bunk room just to have another room if you need some down time or a quieter space if traveling with lots of family or kids. Beautiful & roomy!!

Open Range 3x will be my next 5th wheel. Love the wide body, bigger slides and 3” walls. They seems to be just a little different than other 5th wheels. I live in mine year round and they are built for full time use and with 3” walls hold heat in pretty well. Another great video BTBR!

I like it. I also like that the company takes the same level of quality and materials throughout their model range. I've been very impressed with my Highland Ridge Highlander TT.

I just went to my first RV show - wow. Overwhelming the number of types and layouts. Got some good ideas, got a feel for what I liked and did not like - small bath tub showerr, or toilet/shower combined in the same spot. Looked at some used ones - based on what they were asking, it looked like depreciation is minimal - some of the used trailers that were about 5 years old were priced very close to what they were asking for new ones.

I’m really glad you finally discovered Open Range. They are really a great company. We have a similar Coach without the bunkhouse. It is a Light but very similar in layout and construction. I can’t say enough good things about it. If you or anyone else is interested I would highly recommend this brand of 5th wheel and travel trailer.

A Marmot Not at all. I’m a teacher and coach. I do have a KZbin channel but profit nothing from it. I’m simply an RV enthusiast and love the RV I purchased last year. It is made by Highland Ridge or Open Range (same company). I’m a loyal customer and not selling anything.

We're planning to RV full time starting next year and the mid bunk is a good option to have an office... But I'm leaning towards a toy hauler for the flexibility to bring a couple motorcycles and have extra sleeping area. My favorite so far is the Momentum 381m.

I like the 374MBH a little better but I love Open Range. Wish we’d had a 1Ton truck before we bought our OR310BHS because we’d definitely have a OR 3x427BHS instead since the midbunks are fairly new.
@jabojr51716 жыл бұрын
Another good video, I like that you're starting to do more RV's, since the truck front is quiet right now. One thing, the dual pane windows are not like dual pane windows in a home. They do not have a thermal barrier between the panes, they offer a little more insulation, but the main benefit is to cut down on more outside noise. Some very high end makers, like, DVR, have a true thermal window, but not many.

While this is a nice one, I am noticing that there are getting to be fewer that give you a night stand next to the bed. Those people who have sleep apnea do not have anywhere to put their machines.

All those plastic flaps over the tires are going to do is gather road grime and dirt and hold water against the frame causing rust. Might not be an issue in TX but we have enough rust in the Northeast without poorly thought out gizmos of little use.
@Fordgroup006 жыл бұрын
Yep. A blown tire will rip those to pieces in a flash!
@snakemain6 жыл бұрын
I believe they're metal. The ones on my Highland Ridge (same company) are metal and fairly substantial. They'd probably be damaged or destroyed in a catastrophic blowout, but hopefully might give me a couple minutes to stop before they damaged the floor.
@MarkSmith-zt2zl6 жыл бұрын
Everett Robertson Doesn't matter if they are metal or plastic. They create an area for dirt to collect above them against the frame. You live in the Northeast you notice these things. Besides that, what is their useful function?

I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on the 27.5 artic fox. Maybe a review? Im in the process of buying my first 5th wheel. Tons of questions. I just purchased the RV consumers report and they rate a very few amount as 5 star. I am a traveling union welder that needs the best insulation package for all 4 seasons around 30 ft. The consumers report has it rated as 5 stars although i would like to hear your opinion on artic fox. Pros and cons value for the money... Thanks.. Btw i just purchased a. New 2017 3500 dodge ram with the 4:10 rear end and the aisni transmission for 49,500$ ...wow what a deal..it did not have the rear leveling bags but ill do that after market for that price...There are deals to be had just have to wait and look...Thanks for you channel. Especially your truck reviews. I started looking for one after you ram review..traded my 2500 in on it.Needed more payload.. Thanks a ton for your reviews!

The 27.5 Arctic Fox is their most popular model 5th wheel. There is an independent owners' forum where you can get additional information www.nroa2003.com/forum/Home. I have an older Arctic Fox (2006) and it has been generally bullet proof for me. The nice thing about the 27.5 is it has the insulation and double pane windows and its length allows it to fit in older parks/sites, ie. national and some state parks that limit length to 30 ft. Unfortunately, BTBRV would have to travel some distance to find a 27.5. Northwoods only has a single dealer in Texas, in Baird, which is considerably west of Fort Worth.

Tony Hanke: very nice floorplan if you have a large family and/bring guests. I'm not a huge fan of the mid living area, but it certainly makes good use of space.

I like the one you have better (same as what we have)... I dont like the midbunks with the loft and a couch. The 360ibl with full size bunks makes more sense to me. The room is small, but all we use it for is sleeping. The rest of the time I want the kids outside doing something or in the living area spending time with us.

I absolutely hate the mid bunk design. It puts the kids right next to the parents that are trying to sleep plus the big bunk is rarely used and is very cramped even for a kid. It works but it's not convenient or comfortable. I'd much prefer a rear bunk room with the master over the hitch pin

Here’s something I don’t understand: you have internet access. You know how to Google topics such as RVs. Why don’t you take 5 minutes to investigate a company, Open Range for example, before recommending their products? It’s easy. Type “Open Range RV problems” into Google or any other browser. Once you read of the appalling, horrible quality, the non-existent after-sale service, and the manufacturer’s disdain for customers, perhaps you will think twice before singing their praises.
@BTBRVReviews6 жыл бұрын
you do realize you can pretty much type "problems" or "complaints" after every brand on the planet and get a Google's worth of page responses. No, Open Range nor the dealership pay me a penny to do a review, however, I have made plenty of videos on the flaws in manufacturing all RVs share.
