This one talks to me. I’ve struggled with anorexia, self harm and depression for a long time. Been in recovery since 2019. It is refreshing to hear such a powerful and real song about so many important subjects. I am so grateful for REN. Great reaction ❤

Perhaps it will always be with her, she looks strong and healthy again, but the battle, like in Hi Ren, is eternal . Thank you for another wonderful reaction . Diolch (WELSH FOR THANK YOU) ❤

LOL so this is our first baby and she's full of fun habits already. LOL did I say fun I meant bad habits, like back talking, chewing on nails to the point of cuts (I got her in gloves now, the longer she keeps them on the bigger the rewards,) and a few more habits we're working on. Did I mention we are spoiling her at the same time? LOL How's it going with you and your lil one ❤️

That is so painful to listen to but so true. Sadly I know of a young girl, a beautiful young girl in and out. She was a self harmer, her arms bore the scars and inevitably she died suffering from anorexia. It’s a few years ago but it is still raw, I can’t ever forget it, she was so lovely and it is a tragedy. This song should be played in schools and then discussed. Thank you Rosalie for your brilliant analytical reaction.

Nice vocals, Rosalie! I like how you caught on to the lack of chorus at the end and its significance. I don't know if anyone talked about the last chord in Hi Ren, how it is an unresolved chord which was appropriate because the "song" wasn't finished.

I love this song, but I want to touch on what you said about not wanting to think about how you feel. This is why I think Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy can be helpful for everyone, even people who perceive themselves as 'healthy' or 'normal'. The Mindfulness techniques you learn can be so helpful moving toward being able to understand how you feel and why you do the things you do. It has helped me in my own personal life so much. I loved your breakdown of this song! Thanks so much for continuing the Ren love!

I think this is one of Ren's most important songs to date. Everyone needs to hear this, especially younger people. I'm 74 and my two adult kids went through those years and when teen age there was no Facebook or cell phones, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been if they did have those things. The way KZbin puts our names now it looks like I am a man named Adam, I am NOT either. LOL My name is Ada M.

Ren is so genuine. He is the gift that we all need now more than ever. Our society is filled with division and hate and Ren is bringing us together with love and friendship. People really need to listen to Ren, he spent years in a bed , in his head. Watching the world from a broken window pass by slowly. I feel this gave him such a intense and unique perspective on life and society. His insights or in many ways just raw truths that he could only watch and not get caught in. He has said several times he feels society is sick even more so than himself.

All of his music makes me feel so deeply. This one, holy crap. I deal with disordered eating, binge and starve. It doesn't make me lose weight, if anything it's the opposite. I've battled with it my whole life. And now between my health (autoimmune disorder and mental health) everything is worse. I'm agoraphobic and i battle even meeting up with friends because i feel so ugly and defeated. I'm terrified of being seen in public by people i used to be friends with because I've changed and am scared they'll see how ugly and unattractive I've become with weight gain and medication. I have to walk with a cane and I've become so feeble and just not who i used to be. I'm in physical pain every day and i wonder, what's the point of me? This song is like holding a mirror up to my insecurities and wow it hurts. And i feel seen in a good way. Understood in a way in not sure i knew was possible. And your harmonies were beautiful. You have an amazing voice! ❤

This is my favorite song of all time by Ren. I feel it is SO important.. it's meaning is powerful. like many of his songs this talks to me on a deep, deep level. not only have i known many, many anortexic ppl in my life, the feeling of inadequacy has also killed friends of mine, by way of alcohol and drugs, i am also a bigger, gay guy, which is a chore in itself, and i have body dysmorphia, seeing myself as less than i am, figuratively and literally and i have fought for nearly 40 years now to NOT break and go along the way society tries to tell me. i am so, so happy, someone like ren talks about this in the way he does!

The first time I listened to this song it made me cry, I've been there, I was an Ariah as a teen, struggling with EDs, self harm, depression, anxiety, being called ugly, bullied, being told I wasn't good enough to the point I'm still working on believing I AM good nough and worthy, still a work in progress. Thank you for reacting to this song and giving your psychological insight, I loved it
