Sorry to hear about the missing pivot cup and overall buyer's remorse, but what a complete opposite experience I and probably most others have to this board. I'm an old guy - haven't touched a skateboard in 40 yrs - wanted to try out esk8 and all research/reviews led me to the 3E as the best value beginner board that mimicked higher-end boards with flexy deck, belt drive, and hobbywing ESCs. I was in the RC/drone hobby, so I know em. Literally every premium board has belt drive, bigger softer wheels so you're pretty much the exception who wants to feel every bump in the road. I got mine on sale for $430 in June and kinda wished I had upgraded to the larger softer cloud wheels, despite living/skating in a nice big neighborhood with good roads. While hub drive is cheaper/simpler to maintain, it's generally less torque and the motors are under far more shock/vibration stress, resulting in earlier failures. I'd rather replace a belt than a motor. Btw your older board will also have that power cable running through the deck too, since it connects the battery housing with the ESC housing vis XT60 connectors, and not the drive motors. Yeah, I have the same scratches around the belt/motor covers too, but that's the purpose of those covers. I agree that the handle is nice and the charge port cover is annoying, but maybe it's more waterproof than a sliding cover. I don't agree about Wowgo not having much competition. Omg, there's so many companies and eboards in this price range. I had to have a spreadsheet of pros and cons before deciding on the 3E. My main complaint is the smallish range (understandable at this price) and not having a kicktail for maneuvering, but that's just how this class of longboards are. Yeah, I also fell pretty hard the first week of ownership and despite wearing normal skate pads, the sheer force/speed of hitting the pavement shoved my elbow pad up and I lost all my elbow and most of my forearm skin. It looked and felt horrible - way worse than your leg. I now wear beefy articulating motocross style pads that a lot of other esk8 and EUC riders are wearing. No full face helmet yet, but it's a consideration with the speeds these things can go. I know you're younger, but it doesn't look like you're wearing any protection and I'd highly reconsider that habit.

The hobby wing esc and remote is known to be smooth. People prefer it over the other ones because it's power AND smooth. And every eskate should have foam grip tape. It looks like you live in a really uppety area with perfect everything so you won't need the foam but the foam doesn't make that big of a difference and it isn't negatively impacting your ride as much as you think. The remote would be garbage if it wasn't capable of quickly accelerating and braking quickly and unsafe. If you don't want to think about trigger discipline and have perfect roads which it sounds like you do you should just get a nicer hub motor board honestly.

Dude. All your cons are selling points to most people 🤦🏻♂️
