Guys even though they have never HU with better LCD like brighter IPS but I still strongly recommend you guys get the old DVD style with crappy TN pannels because it comes with hard push buttons and 2 SD card reader which I use for MP3 and they sound fantastic, no song limit you can play as much as the your SD storage can hold. The newer unit doesn't come with SD reader so you can use USB SD card reader but they're very slow.

Do I even need the RCA harness? I noticed you don't use it. I only see the "mic" as relevant. If I use the external mic, does it make the internal mic shut off?

Most of these units do not work with JBL, you need to confirm this before purchase!

Yes 100% programmable, they all do this by default. I wish Toyota gave us more button to push steering wheel right hand side though. If you can find aftermarket mod let me know, we all have a blank area there.

Bought this radio and the steering wheel controls are not working. Only the mode button works. All the other ones are not being recognized with the steering learn function.

So sorry to hear that you have problem with our camry radio. hope you can clear/delete all the record of the steering wheel settings, and then re-set.

I have a 2011 Camry so I am very interested in this unit... but I see it has FM, but does it have AM radio? Where I live the only traffic updates are on an AM station, so I need AM.

Yes, they all do. The orange wire from your stock ant bundle needs to take 12V power. If you don't power it you won't get any reception. Be extra careful when messing with stock ant plug, I broke mine and had to solder on a brand new replacement. And no the traffic updates does not go through FM/AM signal, it gets downlinked directly from your GPS ant which is always included. Remember at the start I said you need to power on the amplifier (yellow cable)? I couldn't figured this out for years so I never had any radio and I always get live traffic updates, never paid a single penny.

Hmm it's probably you're using an AHD camera and it's able to decode it, there are workaround APK download with correct codec. Try using the crappy CVBS camera they provided, that should always work. If not, you just going to have to test out every red/yellow port and verify when in reversed you are getting 12V output. No need to turn on the car for this purpose. The key needs to be in on position but don't need to crank it.

Quality is questionable, the first unit lasted 5 years then TN panel black out. I replaced with exact unit in 2019 and it's still working so we'll see.
