@Lee Schn Mayhem, was overcompensating IMO. Its a good look but IDK she doesn't have the personality IMo to carry off those sorts of looks without looking contrived and like its wearing her. Kinda like Cameron...she can do high concept looks but it always comes across and 'meh, ok' like her 'maleficient' look. Beautifully made, slightly over crapped up and boring on her. If someone like vander Von odd did Krampus, sure. On Mayhem, who really cares? Shangela is charming and it was a nod to her being on the show before, genius and it was very well made.

Because "I tried to do a snowman look many times and it never worked". Wham Mayhem did was striking and beautiful, but what Shangela did was more subtle but just as difficult. She wore something that was definitely costume and snowmen, which normally means volume and lost of body contour. Yet she managed to create a look that was definitely snowman, but also an elegant, body conscious gown. That is not so easy. That reques a deft hand.

It's not why I watch. RuPaul as most famous drag queen to me is a joke. Have u seen all the footage from RuPaul dancing the house down drag shows? Paying dues? Designing? Comedy specials? His make-up looks? None of the above. He can't and has never been able to do anything he ask of these girls. He had a couple hit singles though but as far as working a crowd....nah. ru has never. That's why it's sad that she is the Pinnacle of drag really.

@@archer9855 I have mixed feelings, because while she paved the way for drag and LGBT+ people in general to break out into the mainstream, she's slowly become regressive rather than progressive. Her contributions are undeniable, but in the last decade she's been a gatekeeper to other LGBT+ artists because of her outdated views. She should be respected for what she's accomplished, but I don't think she should be the face for the modern drag community.
