I love these videos. They make me want to start drawing again. I kind of stopped after I went through this random bout of depression around 5-6 years ago, and on occasion I do sketch some quick drawings here and there, but I haven't taken time to sit down with a proper pencil and a blank sheet of paper in aaaaages. So cathartic, watching these videos and listening to the banter.

same??? i was in uni, i was already unsure of my path, and some of my teachers were so mean to me specifically (as in, pointing me out in a class of 62, using me as an example of 'person who can't draw'), that i stopped sketching daily, stopped practicing quick sketches, and now i only do it when i'm irremediably bored in language classes. drawing for the sake of producing work and for the sake of getting better became triggering to me. and i know i wasn't bad, for every professor who humiliated me, i had one to tell me there was something special in my approach. why do i let ppl get in my head so much???

Not gonna lie, I thought this could only work as a once a month thing, but I think I'm starting to come around on it being a weekly series. Just sitting there and watching Raja draw and shoot the shit is actually a lot more entertaining than I thought it was gonna be. Keep up the good work.

I absolutely love this series and its concept. My only critiques would be 1) the sound. Since this is "sort" of like a talk radio show (since all we can hear are the voices), more emphasis needs to be made on achieving clearer, sharper audio. It sounds too open and its kind of distracting. 2) The lighting. Raja is an incredible artist, but the lighting in the video is much too dark. I don't know if bright artificial lighting would be a distraction for Raja while drawing, so maybe you guys can shoot these videos during the day, near a window where a lot of natural sunlight can shine through. I think those two small improvements would do wonders for this series and really make it fantastic. Love you, Raja! Keep up the fabulous work

I think everything is on point, its dim and the echo is fine tk me, it gives it a much more intimate vibe rather than commercializing it and making it into a scripted show. Theres no point in fixing something that isnt broken. Though critiques are good for improving certain things i just think some things are just right and the way this series is being made be it sound and lighting i think gives it a calm and serene touch.

This is a beat series Raja! The only thing I would change? At the end show the person being interviewed getting their portrait. It's like, nesshing the two worlds. If, when you were done with Mathu, it showed his reaction to the finished portrait, I think that would be neat. Of course, keeping it like this works too!
