Our Ghost for better or for worst is the only character I recognized to always be on our side. It’s me and him. Everyone else shifts and moved depending on the story but our ghost was ours. It dying hurt and cayde telling us that we are his favorite (no matter how I feel about most destiny characters being shallow and bland at best) does hit me somewhere. I wish destiny and bungie didn’t have to make it this far to finally start writing good. We could have had 10 years of drama and good cutscenes . It’s like when a student takes it school career for granted and it’s on the brink of expulsion , and then after a shock , they start doing excellent work. Now you are mad that they were always capable of this and instead gave us curse of Osiris , warming , shadowkeep , beyond light and light fall. Barely any good gems. Hit or miss seasons , just chasing that potential high we all knew bungie was capable of .

I like that there's not some big, roaring celebration all across the galaxy. Instead, it's like that for the first time in their very long lives, the Guardians felt a sense of relief for a minute. Plus Cayde got to go out on his own terms, the most Hunter thing possible. What a ride it was.

Theory of next saga: Now that we battled against the Darkness and finally won, now what's left are the remnants of the Witness's forces so we can no longer be afraid of another calamity like this. Now that we have the long lasted peace we cherished, it's obvious that there's more in the universe that can put us in checkmate if we aren't careful. My choice? The Nine. They have been watching us from the beginning, we even had a meeting with one of their emissaries. It is possibly going to be one of the greatest threats we could have after the Witness. They are omnipresent beings, they know where we are, what we can do and our goals. Maybe it's time to get answers about them.
