WOZ: JACKPOT! (Ruby Slippers Free Spin Bonus)

Taped at the Encore, Las Vegas. Max Bet $4.80. I don't want to say too much, because people don't want to be spoiled on how or how much I win. This is my first handpay on Ruby Slippers. I always assumed I would get it from the Glinda Wild Bubbles. I was wrong. :-) I hit this within 1 hour of getting to Vegas last week, and hit many more big wins on it throughout the week. I do let the counter go up without advancing it -- I know this annoys some folks. But it was the first time I've gotten this, it was my moment, and I wasn't going to be rushed! ASIDE: Some Italian-Americans came by at the end and were gawking at the win, so I started fanboy gushing to them. It's just my way. :-)

I was just bitching on SMF that I hadn't gotten a handpay on Ruby, and then it happened one week later. :-) I usually put in $200. if that doesn't work, sometimes I will put in another $100. But no more than $300. If no hit, I'm done for the day. I always play $500 on the last day -- just something I like doing. :-) one of these days I'm going to hit the big $24,000, like was just seen on SlotFanatics forum (or SMF). Did you see it? If you're playing min bet, then 250-300 is fine. If you extrapolate that out, I normally bet around $3.00 average on all game (Ruby Slippers is $4.80, but many other games I only play $2.00). And I take about $3,500 with me in Vegas. If you're going for 3 days (you didn't say how long), then just take $80 a day, and only play min bet. I WOULD have an extra hundred bucks or so in your back pocket, in case things don't go well. Good luck!

My player's card *is* in the machine. I'm not sure what you're seeing -- I can see the card. But even if you can't, Wynn/Encore slots have their player's card slots always GREEN if your card is in, and RED if the card slot is empty or not reading. You can see mine is clearly green -- and yes I know the value of comps (at the levels I'm betting, I'd hope so!) :-)

Sure. Slot attendants and security officers will frequently tell you that they don't allow filming in the casino. It's a STUPID, OLD rule, but still enforced. Especially in this day and age of iPhones. I saw a security officer walking to my right. I hold my camera VERY close to my chest, and sort of aim it at the screen, though not always perfectly. Still, sometimes they can see. This bonus was SO GOOD, I didn't want them to make me delete the video, which they HAVE made people do!! :-(
