Awesome info. Im running a 48mm KTM WP fork on my Beta 300 and was thinking of getting a Gold valve to smooth out the fork.

Yes, it's a pds shock with a K-Tech bladder kit and a custom revalve, the rear end kicks alot less for side to side and gets alot more traction, it's seem to stick to the ground or return to the ground much faster. Alot more predictable, nice upgrade and compliments the front end very well 👌

I have a FE450 2023 and suspension is good for slow and techical climbs, but as soon as I start to push it on fire roads with medium sized stones in between, front end soon starts to shoot left to right (very bouncy). Would theese inserts help alot? I rode a 2024 FE501 with Closed cartridge suspension and it is a day and night difference.

I've been thinking about the 6500s as well. Is this something you installed yourself or did a shop set them up and install them for you? I added the Dal Soggio XP One kit and that was a big improvement. This kit added a mid valve but it feels like I'm over riding it this year as I've gotten a bit faster.

I got it done by a WP service shop but the installation is very simple to do 🙂

How does it compare to the kayaba suspension of the sherco? I rode my mates 2003 wr450 on the weekend back to back with my 17 exc250 with std xplor forks, I couldn't believe how much better the old yam performed! Shocking really when you've got nearly 15 years between them!

I like them alot better than the stock kyb on the Sherco but my son just bought a 2017 Yamaha 250fx and I must say that that kyb setup is nice with the 4 stroke engine and chassis

Is it correct that the WP Dealer didn’t change the setup in the Catrige - just the clickers?

Hi mate. Great review. Looking at fitting these to my Gasgas 300ec. Are the 6500 inserts straight out of the box? (No shim adjustment) Cheers 👍

Yes they are straight out of the box inserts, I did not install them myself but it is a pretty easy job for anybody with a little suspension knowledge 🙂

I purchased them at PLX SPORT in St-Eustache, and did nothing to the valving they work fantastic as is. I did get the rear PDS shock revalved with a bladder kit by PLX SPORT to match the front end and balance to the bike and suspension functionality😊🤘

After I messaged you I noticed it on your fork tube clicker sticker that you got them from PLX. I’m in Nova Scotia and coincidentally was talking to them last week about the 6500. They have a good price but they mentioned that they come out of the box super stiff and I had heard that numerous times. However I would be using the XACT and not XPLOR system so I wonder if they’re valved differently for the AER?

@@jaybird99100 yes the xact 6500 inserts are valved much stiffer than the XPLOR, if you want a similar feel you would definitely have to get them revalved. PLX SPORT could do it for you they have quite a bit of experience with these inserts, alot more then anyone else I know in eastern Canada 🙂

Outils spécial qui vient avec les inserts pour la vise d'ajustement pour la compressions(J'ai une longue tournevis très mince qui fonctionne aussi). Pour le setup de click il ya un manuel en pdf sur l'internet pour te guider avec les setup de base.

A bladder kit in the rear shock with the rite spring and valved for your riding style if definitely a good upgrade and a good starting point 😊

With the origin fork suspension it's very hard when I jump long or short.. So the kit could be OK to keep the Confort at the beginning and stay enough hard on the big reception? Thank you very much
