Get to grips with the fundamentals tools in WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer) in this newly updated beginners guide to Page Builder.

If you have a license for Visual Composer from CodeCanyon (bit.ly/2rnre70) you can get this updated version for free. If it was shipped with a theme then you will have to wait for the theme developers to release an update with the new version of Page Builder included. However, the plugin has never been 'free'.

The tutorial is interesting, but the creator really needs to learn about accessibility issues. It's just not okay to have "null links" or to just toss any ol' piece of text in for the alt attribute.

I used a bloom plugin for the contact form, but then some content below the contact form disappeared in the wordpress dashboard preview. Any idea why that happened? It shows in the wpbakery front end view. What contact form is best to use for this builder?

Can't seem to find a way to edit the top NAV bar where the main menu is, on my Etrostore theme I see some select options in theme options, like pick a color or pick one of three styles. Hi mate, I am having massive issues with my wpbakery plugin that came with my premium theme “the7” when I try to edit the exported pre-made website it just constantly refreshes the page and I am unable to do anything as the page constantly just refreshes when I get to the edit area in the back area. Also it’s almost impossible to get the front end editor to load it’s super slow. And it’s nothing to do with my internet as I am on NBN and also a brand new laptop. Please help if you can, cheers

Can you change fonts in the Text, such as change the size, font style. I want to make the text font not always be all caps, that's what happens when you select any of the pull downs in the paragraph button.

The first thing I would suggest it to take a look at the theme settings as you may find that is what controls the header, etc. and Page Builder only used for the page content. I hope that helps. :0)

Informative tutorial which got me started nicely. Only problem I have is that when I add a parallax image to the row and then insert text and a button inside the row, the button is not clickable and the text is rather dull (supposed to be white) almost as if the image is layered on top of the text and button. this is a great vid and you make it very simple. However I have bought a theme and for some reason when I try to edit the theme page with WP Bakery (it is a plugin of the theme) I cannot get the widgets to work. I get the row and column buttons, but they do nothing, I get the text box, but it is a blank which does not allow me to write any text or other operations.§ I am wondering if there is a configuration error or if the theme is a dud.

If you're in the frontend builder and make changes to a particular view, i.e. Mobile-Portrait, do the changes remain isolated to that view or do they ripple through to the others?
