Adam...great video. You're a lot like Elementor...aggressively improving...getting better and better at a rapid rate...and putting more and more value into every aspect of your videos. I really appreciate you getting this video on Elementor Pro 2.0 out so quickly, and the more detailed videos you say you're going to put out in the next few days. You're a fabulous explainer and entertaining at the time time. And yes, I think you are very fair when you talk about other pagebuilders vs. Elementor...you're bending over backward to make it as fair as possible...it's too bad you can't just say what you want without having to worry about nasty comments. Oh, well. Keep it up...you're amazing. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos.

And yes I am going to make the BEST videos on Elementor Pro, one per day until it's all out there. Going to put everything into them!

Hi Adam, just wanted to say I really appreciate the effort you put into your "work" on WPCrafter. Based mostly on your reviews, I purchased both Astra and Elementor about a month ago to relaunch my own personal site and haven't regretted it for one moment. As a marketer, I've been using / developing on WordPress for 10+ years. I have to say that using Astra (but mostly Elementor) has been - dare I say it - fun. You're analogy between using "back-end page builders" (i.e. using the old flip phone) vs. "front-end page builders" (i.e. using a smartphone) is bang on. Keep up the good work. Onwards!

Adam -- is the point you made below about not creating headers /footers with Elementor, from about a year ago, still relevant today ? It's still missing proper schema so when google comes to your site it won't understand the proper structure. ) I am just beginning to dig into Elementor here (2/19) and trying to sort out a few points from some older videos and learn if maybe updates in past year may have changed things.

Hi Adam, I use Divi now for 6 months and love the way they have set-up the help section and all the videos they put online to help us. I do not see this for Elementor. I have your Elementor course and will dig into it. I agree the header change of Divi is limited. I want to learn more about Elementor so I can use both Divi and Elementor to build sites. Before I started with Wordpress I build websites in DNN and still do. your videos are very good thanks a lot!
@WPCrafter6 жыл бұрын
My impression with Divi is that they move slow. But something eventually kicks in with them, and they start making things happen. You see this with everything they do. They have said that all these new Elementor Pro 2 options are going to come to Divi, I wonder if this release is going to be the kick that gets them moving. And you are right, Divi has deep documentation and videos to go along with them.

Just a couple of follow on questions: If I buy both Elementor Pro and Thrive Architect (assuming that there is no workaround to build my text/graphics content centric website) then can I build the static website pages using Elementor Pro as it has better design and global settings, while using Thrive for dynamic content creation on blog posts, landing pages, A/B testing etc. Basically I have two questions: 1. Can I make a particular webpage partially using Elementor Pro and partially using Thrive Architect? In couple of places I saw you suggesting not using them together on the same page? Any specific reason as such...is there a way around I mean. Thrive has some really cool widgets like table, lists etc that I will like to use even on pages that I build with Elementor. 2. Will I be able to use the A/B testing functionality that Thrive Architect is going to give in such pages built partially using Thrive and partially Elementor Pro or pages built entirely in elementor Pro or will it be available only in landing pages built entirely using Thrive Architect? Thx in advance... Looking up to dig into your lessons once I buy them (or one of them if there's a suitable alternative).

What are your thoughts on the Phlox theme in terms how well it plays with Elementor? Which theme would you recommend for a content heavy site?
@michaelpalombo4706 жыл бұрын
It's actually amazing what the Elementor guys have done in the past 2 years 😎. With all this inbuilt functionality and plugins and an ease way for website designers. From my point of view Thrive Architect is the only "pagebuilder" going a fresh and new way and bringing up non-conventional results.
@WPCrafter6 жыл бұрын
Very insightful and I have to agree with you on Thrive being an unconventional tool that is able to do things that are unexpected. I do believe they will make it more mainstream later this year so that their templates can work within your theme.

Thanks so much Adam - With my need to launch a membership site with a few Custom Post Types, your videos have me almost ready to switch from Thrive Architect over to E-Pro 2 :-) Do you know when the integration with Toolset will be production-ready, as (for various reasons, including many-to-many CF relationships) that's the Custom Fields plugin I need to use... Thanks!
@WPCrafter6 жыл бұрын
I am considering changing from PODS to Toolset depending on how that works out. Exciting times and that may end up being the most powerful combo. As far as when, I think it is more on Toolset, but I would think a few months. Maybe I will reach out to them to ask.
@dylannewcomb57786 жыл бұрын
Yes - Please do ask them! I just heard back from Marine at Toolset on this - she emailed me: "Toolset will be compatible with Elementor 2.0 but there is no "tight" integration in our pipeline (so far.) We will produce a video in a few weeks showing how you can use Elementor 2.0 with Toolset, but the project has not started yet..." So perhaps with a bit of friendly encouragement, especially from community leaders like you, we can help motivate them to invest resources in building a "tight" integration(?) Toolset really has the most 'complete package', dev-wise, and with thier biz model and culture they seem to be continually be improving their product's power & user-friendliness. Thanks again...

This release is very promising of course. The question I now have is what, if any, would be the reasons to continue to consider premium and pro versions of themes like Astra. I'd appreciate your opinion on that.
@WPCrafter6 жыл бұрын
There are many reasons, and that is the perfect tee up for a video. I will say that a lot of people can get by just fine with the free version of a theme. In a nutshell, it boils down to global options, integrations, specific features. For example, I use the Astra theme, they have integrations that I need and they have some features that I depend on, but it's hard to explain in a comment.

WordPress will always need a theme. Now with Elementor Pro you can create headers and footers, but there are some issues with them and right now I don't recommend it. Forgive my lack of knowledge here... but why do you need a third party theme (Astra etc.)? Hello Adam. Thanks for the video and little bit of comparison on page builders. I too like Beaver Builder. I really think that its solid and easy to build a site also with Beaver Builder. But most of the things that I like about Elementor 2 is that the controls are easy and I can add subtle effects such as drop shadows, paddings, and different types of controls in regards to placements and fonts, Elementor 2 hands down is better at it. I wish for Beaver Builder to do an update to their controls. Especially to fonts, border placements and padding. Its just so easy to do with Elementor.

Its way too late. The Beaver Builder team should be like the Divi team in which they kept adding more features to Beaver Builder. The features that similar to Elementor are in beta and should be shipped by now. So yes your right, its way too late. I still like Beaver Themer. I think it really works well and its one reason why I stick with Beaver Builder. Im not too familiar with the dynamic content with Elementor 2 and how it works. But once I figure it out I might just switch to just Elementor 2.

Hi Adam, I really enjoyed your video and look forward to learning all about webpage building from you. An initial question... How does the latest Elementor Pro interact with WP 5.0 Gutenberg version? This is going to be a big jump for WP so don't want to have a problem with compatibility with either program. As you mentioned in your video, Divi has a lifetime price so it seems like a no-brainer when compared to Elementors yearly subscription of at least $150. Can you tell me why Elementor is still a better deal than Divi, especially when Elegant is offering lifetime for just $150 during extended Black Monday promo? I am a newbie with WP style concepts and really need something easy, tried for years to build with WP but have never figured it out. Thanks so much, I will buy through you and get your training if you can make me feel comfortable. Thanks, Gary

Hello Adam, thank u 4 this video. U answered many of my questions especially the one with deactivation n if the website works afterwards. 1 other important but similar question though; could Elementor by itself ever crash n that their codes dont work anymore, destroying tens of thousands of websites? I love Elementor, but my husband tells me to watch out building client websites from it, if Elementor itself ever crashed. I hope i explained myself correct. Coz when u inspect an elementor built website, the first things u see are elementor this n that. Is there a possibility that Elementors shortcodes suddenly by itself wont work?
@WPCrafter6 жыл бұрын
I don't think you have anything to worry about at all. If for example, you stopped updating anything on your websites, Elementor will keep working just fine, along with everything else. There is potential for some other plugin on your website to cause something to break in Elementor or any other part of your website for that matter. But that is always a possibility. Always keep known good backups and you will always be in a secure position.

Adam, my small quibble about your last review was no mention of Beaver Themer, the killer add-on for Beaver Builder. In this video Themer gets a mention in the comparison, but "stability" gets a hand wave. I'd argue that if you're building websites for clients then stability is a huge deal, and basic modules are what you'll use 90% of the time.

I am curious about some things, mostly, how is the payment/pricing worked out? I can pay 49$ for 1 website with a year of updates and support. So, after the year is finished, will I still have the ability to use the Pro functions I have put into my website? Will I also still be able to update my own website with the Pro features I had bought at one time; even if they are not updated by support? For example, I bought ElementorPro, and I added a contact form to my website. A month before my year of support has expired, ElementorPro gave us a new contact form which I was a big fan of, so I decided to update my website. Now after my year long support has finished, I obviously wont be getting any new contact form updates. However, will I still be able to use my contact form, or another contact form that was already apart of the Pro features? Or, is all my content wiped and destroyed?

Hi Adam, I’m hoping you could help me out. I purchased a Genesis child theme from Creative Market as well as the Genesis framework, as I really loved the look of that particular theme. However, I’m no developer/coder. I’m a graphic designer, so everything about using WordPress and this theme was making me confused and just taking ages to get anywhere. I came across your amazing KZbin channel and haven’t stopped watching! You have convinced me that using a page builder (esp Elementor) would be amazing for me and I’d visually be able to put my site together so much easier and faster! However, I tried using Elementor with this theme, but it doesn’t work due to this theme using a lot of widgets (I think that’s what’s stopping it?). It comes up with a message "Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page." Is there a way around this to make Elementor work with this theme? If you’re able to help me out with this I’d greatly appreciate it. I wish I had found out about page builders before I spent money on this theme I thought would change my life 🙄🤦🏻♀️. Thanks so much in advance for any help.

Now that they've released version 2.0 with the whole custom fields, and custom header/footer/blog post layouts, etc., I'm for sure gonna use elementor. Now the only feature I wish they had that thrive architect has is the ability to drag margins/padding/positioning of elements. In my opinion, it's much easier for a non-coder/developer like myself to design with this feature, rather than having to guestimate proper numbers for the margins/padding/positioning, etc. I was designing today and was getting frustrated with that. I'm gonna have to review your "How To Design A Beautiful Homepage Using Elementor For WordPress" video next.

I am finding it a bit hard to choose between Elementor Pro and Thrive Architect, and here's why (hope Adam or someone else can help me out) I am going to make a online membership site with LifterLMS and Astra theme (saw your video Adam...thx for that!) but instead of just videos, my course will have a lot of lenghty text, so obviously I want tools that can make my blog article (which will be restricted based on membership) good looking and help me in content marketing. However, Elementor Pro does not have table widget and some other such content marketing related features (e.g. table of contents, fill counter, stylish list, tab content), which are there in Thrive Architect. Also, Thrive Architect offers better pricing as I don't have to rebuy the plugin next year just for updates, which I have to do in case of Elementor Pro (unless Thrive guys messup with the next update like they did this time and then I will have to seek their support and repay them just for support sake). But Thrive does not provide the Global setting feature that is there in Elementor Pro and as my website is going to be a big one (also probably will make multiple websites) I definitely need this to save my time in future. So you see I am kind of in a pickle here! Any suggestions or workarounds are welcome :-)

Can Divi please make blocks or sections like Brizy so that a particular function can be done in 10 or 15 different ways. Example make 15 sections of only contacts or services or team members etc .

If you were me, I've got a 'lifetime' subscription to Divi. The question is 'who would be your choice? I get your 'drift', but still on the fence? Thank you for yor videos, but the software is going at 'rocket' speed!'

How come you never discuss WPBaker/Jcomposer page builder yet it has a huge following more than element or or beaver?
@WPCrafter6 жыл бұрын
That's because its a builder that is forced on people because it's bundled in with various themes found on ThemeForest. I personally I hate it, and don't know anyone that has chosen to use it, it's just forced on you. It's not good, it is extremely slow to work with. Also the nickel and dime you to death, every little feature you gotta pay up.

True, true and true, but in the art of fairness, how does it compare to the other builders one on one

It's basic. The free version of elementor is much better and much faster. Think the flip phone versus iPhone analogy. I feel for the people that are stuck with it.

"Forced" is too strong a word, it was bundled with a lot of themes, that is all. I actually learned about page builders in general through a theme I bought that came with WPBaker, and built my own business website with it, it is quite capable and it has improved a lot over the past three years as well. I actually like it, even though I use Divi more and more these days.

It's available, but I am sure at some point they may remove it. It's there now though.

Adam, You always make nice vids BUT... why go to all the trouble and expense and education when we could just go to Wix cheaper ? Honestly, who wants to waste resources, the web is a tough place and its almost impossible to get 1st page ranking without pumping out big bucks in advertising.

There are a million reasons to choose WordPress over Wix. I should make a video on it.
