WPF Contact Book - Part 7 [Details View & Styles]

In this video we are writing a TON of XAML for our DetailsView and styles for controls within it. Since this video is almost entirely XAML I didn't wan't to skip over much, so feel free to watch at 1.25x or 1.5x speed on KZbin (I recommend it).

Your green info boxes with red text (minute 13:15) aren't very readable for people (like me) with red-green visual impairments. Just use a different color for the red text in it. Nice tutorials!

Hello! Yes, I think I see your problem. In your BookView.xaml, where you have a second grid setup for the details view, your binding has a typo in the name. You have DataContext="{Binding ContactVM}", when it should be DataContext="{Binding ContactsVM}" (With an 's' in contact[s])

Typo's have gotten the best of me many times as well, happens to all of us. It has happened to me so often that when ever I have unexplained binding issues, I immediately look for a typo! ;)
