Lol, cheers Kyle. It is a great combo and my next project is going to use it for the full build. This will help me get some real world experience using it in a professional environment. :)

Awesome run down. I pretty much exclusively use GP + GBP and Kadence + KBP. Can't go wrong.

I'm stuck. I'm building a Woocommerce store with Gutenberg and I need a combination of tools that will help me build the features I want with the least amount of plugins possible. I'm looking for these features: Search bar, Product Compare, Social proof pop-ups, Countdown Timer, Sticky Cart, Order Bumps, Quick Add To Cart and Product Labels... I've install Generatepress (paid)& Generateblocks (paid) and I'm considering Shopengine and Shoplentor/Woolentor. I'm looking to build a quick feature rich site. Any ideas?

What I love about Cwicly is assigns ID and classes to every element. So, you refer to them in case you want to modify them in any way! 🥳

Hi Paul, my long time favorite among Gutenberg tools is Kadence (template and blocks) in Premium version. The developers are great and keep the standard of their work high and I always look forward to every new feature they introduce :)

Nice summary Paul thank you ! There also Crocoblocs for Gutenberg and The Plus addon who are promising too. With so many good solutions web design with Gutenberg is going more professionnal. Cwicly is kind of Oxygen Builder for Gutenberg and deserves to be better know. By the way how did you get that nice gray UI for Cwicly ; it's normally white ? Thanks
@WPTuts
@WPTuts 2 жыл бұрын
I've not tested Crocblocks offering yet or the Plus Addons, but both are on my list of tools to check out. I wanted to focus on using tools that have a solid theme available if you wanted to tap into the extra features that they bring. As you say though, so many good solutions are becoming available it feels like the reliance on page builders is becoming a little less in favour of these types of tools for Gutenberg and the speed benefits they can bring. As for the Cwicly interface, I don't think I've changed anything in the settings. It's more than likely picking up my OS colour scheme (well, that sounds like a viable explanation.. lol).

Great videos, thank you. Beginner question: Is it ok and/or useful to use for example both Kadence blocks and Stackable, or even more block addons at the same time, or will that slow down your website? Is it wiser to choose just one?

Thank you. Please tell me which of these themes or plug-ins work best of all in a question of the most important website's feature - SPEED! I've read a lot about themes that like a giant trucks slows down the entire website. Thank you very much.

Hi! I’m very new to Wordpress so everything is very new and a bit confusing. I need a tutorial start to finish from after I’ve set up my hosting and domain. Any referrals to a video tutorial? I did start off with Elementor and used a theme and customized my home, contact and about pages already but I haven’t gotten any further because the plugins I need for my craft blog and posts do not work for WP 6.0 if I understand this right. The only thing left to create is my blog page to show my blog posts with a sidebar and images (I don’t know how to show my posts that migrated from my old blogger blog) Is Gutenberg another “version” like Elementor? Please help….thank you in advance!! Jules

Hi Paul, I am building only one website for my business, and am not interested in building additional websites. I watch your videos and I am very confused. It seems that there are a lot of plugines additions to Gutnerberg, and it seems that every month a new addition is released and you will probably make a video about it.. I want to have a good base, to build one website and continue to maintain it for the next few years without having to specialize in the subject of website building and constantly changing plugins for Gutenberg or paying for Elementorpro. Can you recommend a tool that builds the site and a certain plugin, that will be able to build a beautiful site, with courses, and a blog, and still be simple and inexpensive? many thanks meytal

nice work Paul! I wonder if Blocksy with Stackable Pro are comparable in features with Kadence Pro and Kadence Blocks? Cheers!!!

Thinking of the same thing.
@mistergeko
@mistergeko 2 жыл бұрын
They are comparable. I think whatever you want to design, you can do that with both. At this very moment, knowing both, I think Kadence has just more to offer. It is just the question of do you need that extra. It has Cloud option where you can sell your design libraries, it has the most advanced dynamic options so far, integrating even Meta Box galleries, aka dynamically selecting a gallery. Its child theme builder to sell child themes is also top notch so yeah, if you are more into design world and want to make a business out of selling libraries of layouts or whole templates, Kadence has no match currently. I do like how Stackable is holding ground. I think Blocksy and Stackable should think of something together. Them being separate companies is a bit scary to me, I know Blocksy went with Qubely blocks in the very beginning and that did not turn out very well, but Stackable is a solid plugin as Paul said. I generally like that you have very good options between Kadence suite / Blocksy-Stackable / GeneratePress suite. It's a pattern, Astra being pushed back behind these themes after so long being the best made them switch their model and now they will rebrand those Ultimate addons to Spectra and then of course compete with these 3 with Astra + Spectra combo lol. But what intrigues me the most is Cwicly. I was lucky due to Paul promoting it on the channel to get myself the highest LTD deal and I'm glad I went with it and did not refund lol. I gotta go pro with that tool seeing what Louis is building is just amazing. We have to promote this thing so more people see it and it lifts off ground because it is webflow for wordpress and it's a game shift entirely. Can't be even compared to Kadence, Blocksy, Generate or any other solution out there. It is just more advanced than anything we have seen so far. And they do it the right way, not Oxygen way :D

@mistergeko

@@MichaelFidelis Bricks is also great. If I would use a page builder, that one would be my choice no1. However, it might also be relevant to the actual project as requirements might exceed what Bricks in its early stages can offer. I actually have Bricks LTD for unlimited sites just in case I use it sometimes :)

@@mistergeko it’s funny you say that. I’ve played the same LTD game in hopes of one being the golden egg. I’ve been very pleased with my Astra Agency and their support, but started working with the Kadence Suite in efforts to get away from builders like Elementor.

Is there any way I can change font types in Gutenberg Paragraph block? I mean I don't wanna change whole default font type, I wanna use various types of fonts all at the same time. Why is it so hard in Gutenberg?

It’s time isn’t it… Now comes the hard question. Which basket for the eggs..
@WPTuts
@WPTuts 2 жыл бұрын
I begrudgingly have to agree! It'll always be known as Gutenturd though ;) I honestly don't think you can put all your eggs in a single basket. Much the same as right now, there are tools that are more suitable to certain jobs. I love GenerateBlocks & GeneratePress right now as it's a super practical, well coded and robust platform. But, it lacks some of the more powerful features that the likes of Kadence Blocks offers. Also, if you're happy to invest the time into learning it, Cwicly offers a very compelling toolset and ACF Pro included with each license could be a game changer for many. Plus, there's an exclusive 20% discount in the description of this video if you are interested. My gut feeling says that now is a great time to be learning these tools as the focus is now moving towards more powerful, dynamic data based options.
@Michael_M
@Michael_M 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul! Though I agree what you are saying on the different tools for the job, focussing on one tool has benefits too. 1. License costs = Margin 2. Speed & confidence - if you know the tool inside out, you know the limitations & possibilities. Not having to search settings / diving into Google. (this might be because the websites itself are not my only product.) 3. Lifetime value. If you have 5 tools in your stack, time will make you use the one you like best more and more. If you have to come back to a product you barely use, you'll have to search for the settings again. Otherwise small changes (which I mostly do for free) take a minute. So, agreed but the arguments for going all-in on one platform are there as well. Looking at my frustrations the past years my post-elementor criteria will be: 1. A company that is transparent, open to suggestions and actually listens and responds to it's users. 2. Reliability 3. Flexibility 4. Swift bug fixes 5. Clean code 6. Page speed 7. A professional, helpful user base 8. Popularity. In the end - there will be a lot more content creation on the popular products. Bonus - I would love a more equal 'front end - back end' experience. So, I've got some research & testing ahead before I decide. Current choice (100% because I trust you and Kyle) GP/GB.
