I currently was approved for ssdi for a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. I used to work, and i worked for 18 yrs. Im 35 now and i no longer want to go to work. The problem im having is that my therapist put me in this recovery program. And all they do is insist on me coming up with a game plan that will jump start my life. I dont know what else to do. I have to go see this therapist and psychiatrist to continuously tell them about my same symptoms. I no longer feel fit to work and i would like to enjoy my life and travel. But i don't know if she would except me saying that. You seem really happy so i wanted to know what your advise would be.

Looking at your numbers (18 & 35) it seems like you just got burned out. Some folks can take a two weeks vacation and bounce right back. Sounds to me like you need a vacation lasting a year or more. I want you to Travel! Save money from your ssdi checks and go! See the world. Enjoy the music. Taste the foods. After you do this, you should be in a healthier mindset to determine what you can do in terms of work (ie. How much? What type of work? etc., etc.). EVERYBODY who eats is doing some type of work - even if it is not 40hrs a week. I'm sorry to hear how your treatment has been going. Please, be patient with your therapist and doctor, but also be FRANK. If they can't accept your goals that's their problem, not yours. It's their job to make us feel better, Not worse. Trying to believe that you have the illness is the worse part , I have come to a place were I have accepted the diagnose and hopefully my life starts getting better now has been a long struggle since I got diagnosed hope everyone with the Illness holds in there cause at the same time life is hard , we are all fighting to hard for normality to give up ,thanks for the video.

Had it 7 years now and yes I'm as I said crazy cause when you get diagnosed and it gets out there doesnt matter how smart you are everyone is always going to think you as mentally ill and everything you do or say doesnt matter cause you have an illness that's been my experience.

I have an extremely hard time focusing at times and I have a lot of anger. And I take my anger out on the wall and other objects around me. It may not be schizophrenia but I think it’s BPD, I have a hard time controlling my outbursts of anger and random laughing fits. Idk, but I hate whatever it is I have. Wish I was never born, cause now I’m stuck in a body that I didn’t ask for.

I assume it might be BPD! There’s many ways to get your problems to be manageable, I know you probably hear this alot, but go talk to a professional about it! They will recommend medication and/or therapy.

@@B-Robby Yeah I’ve been going to therapy and Im on medication now. They put me on psych meds. They told me it’s major depressive bipolar disorder, but I think it’s BPD

@@B-Robby I’m on Wellbutrin 150 mg and Seroquel 75 mg. I had to lower the Wellbutrin because it was too high and I felt my anger was even worse when it was on that dosage. The Seroquel is at the right dosage I think.
