This is the most underrated Nintendo game imo, and it's one of my favourite games of all time, so it makes me happy that at least it still has a speedrunning community, despite it being very little.

Yeah! Over the years I've been a part of the community there has been some activity. Recently there has been a very small surge of activity for Zelda Battle Quest, with multiple runs from different people being submitted in a short period of time.

Tbh I might be pronouncing her name wrong but that's how I've always said it. Read it like "Monica" with a T. I also didn't realize it was a pun until years later

Haha, this is just part 1, the actual run was 18 hours of nonstop gaming. It took lots of practice, preparation, and determination. I wanted so badly to achieve this, and so I literally spent months practicing and planned my day specifically around this. Besides all the practice at Nintendo Land, here are some other things I did to prepare: > Decided on a day in advance to do the run and requested off work the day of AND after > Meal prepped meals and snacks to access throughout the run > Routed the run to start with the hardest achievements so that I wouldn't need to do them while I was tired > Routed the run to include breaks (to get a stamp in Mario Chase, I have to win 10 times as Mario, which meant if I needed a break I could hop into Mario Chase and still be "running" while I get up to grab food) > I moved my setup to a room right next to a bathroom. I could even take the gamepad into the bathroom and run while peeing if I needed to (thankfully I don't think I ever needed to do this) > Had lots of AA batteries on the ready, and changed wii remote batteries throughout the run instead of when the charge was actually low (better to do this than have a wii remote die at a bad time)

Probably not. If I had unlimited free time I would like to, but the amount of work it took to prepare for the run and then do it was so much that I’d rather just spend my time doing other things. I’m happy having finished the run at all

I think you just have to play a certain number of rounds on the first the get the second. And then some rounds on the second to get the third

This run is so incredibly niche I love it
