That's cool and all but I beat the game in like 15 minutes when I was like 10. Sure I used cheats like noclip and god mode and actually still took about 3 hours to beat the game cuz I lied just now so yeah. I guess what you did is pretty impressive actually, nevermind.

haha yeah, a friend told me they got motion sickness from watching. it really does help me with strafing and understanding my player's position better, so that's why I don't drop it. I could still get similar results with 130 or 140 but anywhere below 120 seems almost unplayable to me at this point

q2pro-speed github.com/kugelrund/q2pro-speed click on 'r1762' under 'releases' on that github page - download the zip, then just drag and drop the contents of the zip into your quake 2 directory once you've merged the zip with your game folder then just run q2pro.exe 👍

I am enjoying the remaster but currently no plans to speedrun it, that can quickly change though I've put hundreds (if not thousands) of hours into the route in this video so I think it'd be cool to push it as far as I can go, I'm still doing a few hours of offline attempts per week

in q2pro or q2pro-speed you can experiment with the console commands “gun_x”, “gun_y”, and “gun_z” to effectively shove the right hand view model to the center. you also need to do the commands “hand 2; cl_gun 2” to force the viewmodel to render while in center hand

hand 0 = right hand hand 1 = left hand hand 2 = center hand cl_gun 0 = don’t show viewmodel cl_gun 1 = show viewmodel (no centerhand) cl_gun 2 = force viewmodel to show regardless of handedness

@@mr2meows yes my exact setup in this video is: cl_gun 2; gun_x -6.75; gun_y 5; gun_z 8 bind "t" "gun_x 4; gun_y 6; gun_z 6; hand 0" (switch to right hand) bind "y" "gun_x -8.5; gun_y 4; gun_z 8; hand 2" (switch to center hand) also I'm using q2pro-speed running in windowed 1440p so these settings may not work for you, tweak the numbers a bit to fit your display

also, those values may need to be further configured to fit your display - I play windowed 1440p and if I'm not mistaken the viewmodel offsets from gun_x/y/z can vary
