My torque wrench was $11 from Aldi, it was probably +-60% accurate from the factory. If I ever buy a real one I'll take care of it!

imashankusobad can you imagine the cost and trouble of a snapped bolt because its out of calibration by 10 or so foot pounds? That's the issue not the cost of the tool ;) i have a cheap on as well.

You made removing the chain look so easy, always my biggest enemy when changing the rear tires. My S1000 has to be the most difficult one yet.

Thanks for the doing the swap unedited, i was curious to know how long would. Those rubber mallets that others keep going on about are under 5 bucks at bunnings,but hey i lived in an apartment once and was reduced to very few tools, love the use of the smaller ratchet as an axle driver.

Wow !!! Using your torque wrench as a hammer - great way to destroy it . Metal on metal contact with the axle - great way to dent it . You find the bolts hard to undo . Full respect dude you still managed to do the wheel change though !!!

Hi there Tom! dropping a torque wrench will put it out of calibration. by using it as a hammer. you'll find using it as a torque wrench is pretty pointless because it won't be torquing it to the spec you want. also when you store your torque wrench wind it out as far as you can go. it helps keep them calibrated. Excellent video as always :D

When you hammer things like that, you might want to use a rubber mallet or use a small piece of wood in between as to not score the threads or other metal bits.

So as far as the front brakes. All you gotta do is pump it a few time before you get going and they will work just fine. Gotta get them brake fluids flowing!

Have to admit, this video did make me die a little inside.. Gotta learn someway though I suppose LOL! Hope you tightened those pinch bolts back up though! Also, there's a proper way to put in a front wheel. Many people don't do it, but it makes sure the forks are straight and not tapered basically.

losen the nut and hit it with you hand to move the axel instead of hitting the thread with tools.. just a quick tip and if you every now and then coat it with grease between changes it will come out a lot easier

After changing tires I suggest squeezing brake levers 5 times . That should get the brakes working before riding

Try and find a buell 1125r/cr that you can ride and while yes it doesn't have crazy horsepower but the torque will make it hard to go back to a 4-cylinder

I thought to change from super moto wheels to off road wheels you just added more air pressure until the tires reached 21 inch? Maybe I am wrong about that.

I noticed that you had cable tied the front brake line to fit the road tyres on. Was that the only mod you had to do to make them fit? I am looking at buying a wr250r and looking at converting it as we;; as some bush bashing on it. Are they any good in the dirt?

You probably shouldn't use the torque wrench to loosen nuts, go to bunnings and get yourself one of those 1/2" drive Kinchrome ratchets! Also make sure your wheel/chain allignment is all good.

I'm trying to do the exact opposite. I want to switch the stock tires and mount moto tires. I ride 100% of the time on hardball and the stock tires always feel like they get loose at 60 mph. Do any of you viewers know of a video converting to moto tires on a WR250R?
