Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I just installed a 2.5" Clayton Offroad lift with 35's on my 2018 JLU and the first thing I noticed was how much it drifts on the highway over 65mph. Here in Texas, if you're not doing 10-15 over the speed limit, you're not keeping with the flow of traffic. This will definitely be my next install. Thanks again.

Thanks! The first time I drove my lifted JLUR on 37's down the interstate with a cross wind, my shoulders ached from constant corrections. This could be the answer. I don't expect any JL to drive like a "fill in the blank" but this should help.

After getting new adjustable front LCAs, front and rear track bars and a heavy duty tire rod and adjusting toe, caster and recentering both axles my steering stills handles like crap. I found out that it has a lot to do with the gearbox being made from aluminum. I ordered this part hopefully it is the final piece of the puzzle 😅😅

Did you by chance get the shakes like death wobble or articulation at high speed when hitting bumps? I have had such a hard time getting this fixed. Jeep is putting in a new steering box and I ordered the syngery isolator as well.
@namansharma34084 жыл бұрын
I just installed mine and it works well but when i curve around a car my steering wheel wants to stay at that turning angle even if i let go of the wheel. usually it would return back to straight but i have to manually pull back to straighten it. I also have a fox steering stabilizer

On 10/05/2020 I special ordered my 2021 2 doors Rubicon , arrived to the dealer 11/23/2020 unfortunately I have a lot of problems with the steering, and it wanders to right very bad . I only drove it 200 miles and it has been at the dealer since then (6 days)
@BEASTProjects4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they all wander stock/brand new. It’s a combination of having too much air in the tires, which makes a balloon effect & weak steering components. This brace & running 30 psi in my tires fixed the wandering issue for me & I’m on 37’s.

Seen there's problem with the selector shaft breaking off if your running a drop track rod arm, the mechanical advantage is the problem there, but as soon as your getting outside the OEM tire size or lifting the suspension with a drop selector arm or even the factory arm your getting into a can of worms with that OEM set up for sure. It's is a good idea, but it might be better with a sealed bearing as opposed to a bronze bushing over time, that kit could easily be improved upon with a O ring on top, and dust cap on the bottom, unless you like greasing your rig frequently ....

The only way i can see this helping, is if the frame is moving back and forth causing the drifting.

The 2018-20 JL have an aluminum steering gear and if you were to go under the vehicle and have someone turn the steering wheel you can actually see the steering gear separate from the frame slightly which causes the steering wander. The way this bracket works is it reinforces the steering gear mounting points and securely tightens it to the frame. There is a TSB out now TSB 08-074-20 that replaces the aluminum steering gear with a steel one and a software update of the steering unit. I believe the 2021 models have the upgraded steel gear already. The way to know for sure is look at the color of the steering gear. If it's gray in color it's aluminum, if black then it's steel.
@BEASTProjects3 жыл бұрын
Good call, mine is aluminum & had no idea there was TSB on it.

@@BEASTProjects I just found out myself a few days ago. I made an appt with the stealership to get it done but they had to order the box since they didnt have it in stock. I have the Synergy bracket sitting in my garage and i'm still gonna install it after they do the TSB for extra reinforcement.

What shop in PA did the work and where is it located? Some of your scenery looked familiar like you were on RT 30 in Coatesville/ Downingtown area.

Seems to me that the video was rigged because he was running 24 PSI in the beginning with the tire pressure light on and then at the end there is no tire pressure light and he switched the dash screen. Can't really believe his results. Nobody is going to run 24 psi for everyday driving.
@BEASTProjects3 жыл бұрын
I run 29 psi on the road.

@@BEASTProjects Your videos are extremely informative. They have lots of great information. However, I do several a day and they certainly don't cost that much to do. I'm not sure what's costing you a lot of time or money putting it together. Perhaps you may want to try an alternative method. Nonetheless, you do have good information in your videos. The commercials are just annoying.
