Hey there! We've been done with shopping and wrapping (by hubs) for over a month now and they'll be under the tree this weekend. We finished the stocking items on Monday, thankfully. I need to bake over the weekend as well. We do/did use scraps and hubs said we finally used all the rolls from previously so new wrapping will be used next year, first like in five years. We wrap for 10 so you can imagine the designs. My daughter does the single design per person like you but we never did. BTW, I have slid slightly off the planning game as well w/ the loss of my mom back in June (I did set up a '25 Hobo Cousin tho). This holiday season is bittersweet since we planned on her being w/ us to celebrate. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family ❤❤❤!!!!!

Oh wow 10 haha I cannot imagine that this was enough just trying to wrap the extras from my parents😅 Ugh yes it feels so good to finish a roll or use up scraps. No buying wrapping paper for me next year so I can finish these ones🤞🏼 So sorry to hear about your mom. It’s always harder these times of year without our loved ones♥️ Hugs to you and you family this holiday season!🎄

We put them under the tree. Wrap and add a little each week. They love to see if a new package lands under there each week. lol The numbers are always even so I never worry about counting.

Maybe as Emilio gets older and doesn’t wanna rip open the gifts we can start that but I also fear Alondra could be like me when I was little and try to open and peek at all the gifts😂🫣

Growing up we put gifts from others by the tree as we got them but for the most part my mom kept gifts up in the attic where she wrapped them until Christmas Eve or day before and she would bring them down. We never had a big tree on the floor we had a small fake tree on top of the tv (those old floor console TVs from long ago). We decorated a Christmas village under the tree on a while cloth that would both cover tree base, tv and kinda look like snow. If too many gifts went “under” the tree too early it would block the tv 😆. My friends for the most part put gifts under the tree as they come in or are wrapped

It’s always fun to know how others did/do Christmas. It’s funny I do it completely different than my mom growing up😆 I hope you have a great Christmas!🎄

@ when my mom was alive we celebrated Christmas Eve with her family coming over we had Christmas Dinner HoneyBaked Ham and a pasta dish, we opened gifts pretty early and family would leave, when kids were young they went to Midnight Mass then they just went home after she passed my dad and I would go to family’s house. There they had a good breakfast croissants then open gifts which literally took all day, have Christmas dinner and go home. After my Goddaughters were born i would rush over there for gifs then back home to go to family’s house. Now i do Christmas Eve with my compadres family Tamales of course. Families took their gifts home for their own celebrations but compadres would go back Christmas morning for tamales and eggs then gifts. Sadly things really change when the elders passaway and kids grow up, move away and start their own traditions

I put all the gifts under the tree before Christmas eve, just because my kids are grown up.
