Lots of farmers in the UK do this every year on their tractors as a charity event, my local police wildlife crimes and rural crimes team even have a pair of police tractors and get involved, going as far as decorating their tractors, they lead the processions and bring up the rear acting as an escort along with a few police motorbikes, my local Christmas farmers procession is over three miles long with almost two hundred tractors every year!

The roads actually stay open, it's been going on for many years, originally by horse and wagon, but they don't have any waivers the police just let it slide as they are raising money for charity and because it is normally in rural areas they haven't actually got the means to police it anyway, the farmers just have to notify the police that they are taking part so that an appropriate escort is available! But as a general rule because of the sheer number of participants it is impossible to stop so it's easier for the police to manage by allowing it under carefully managed conditions!

While it is not "Illegal" to have lights on your car it is the color of the lights that make it illegal. All states mandate that in the front only amber or white lights in the rear Red and amber only for turn signals. Anything else is a distraction and could cause an accident. Cops have a very short fuse when people cannot figure out common sense.

Yeah, there were a few here in Pennsylvania. They were all pulled over and told to take the lights off. You aren’t allowed to have anything fun on your car in PA. Technically you aren’t even allowed to have anything hanging from your rear view mirror but I’ve never heard of anyone getting a fine for that.

I'm a grandma here. Love you idea for the lights! You brought me some joy while I work at trying to get out of bed. I raised 2 fun filled fun loving boys. They made me laugh everyday. One put a semi-truck horn on his scooter. , It was hilarious!! And then put a Harley-Davidson motorcycle Exhaust pipes on his little Honda car. That boy kept me laughing all through his growing up years. We lived in a small town in AK. The police knew him but enjoyed is humor too. He ever got a ticket but did get pulled over and was told he couldn't be doing what he was doing. He grow up to be one of the most skilled Diesel mechanics In south east In south east Alaska. Here in Michigan every year we have a parade of trucks , cars, fire trucks etc …. With police escort. Everyone is beeping horns and saying Merry Christmas. Very cool……….. they go everywhere . Subdivisions main roads …….. the coolest displays on their vehicles✨✨✨❤

The light "webs" designed for bushes can make truck bed and front engine area really easy to do requiring less tape and time. wouldn't work for door areas but basically 2 thirds easier using those for sure.

On the one hand, it’s awesome. On the other hand, as a professional driver, seeing that while driving can be enough of a distraction to others to cause an accident. I think the parade route, or parked in the driveway, etc. is probably a better way to go.

Suggestion when attaching the lights…. Use clear packing tape…. I have done it on a number of occasions on my Jeep…. Clear packing tape does not damage the paint… Truck looks better in daytime…. You don’t notice the tape as much….

I was thinking electrical tape as it come in many colors. Plumbers tape would be good as well. If you want to spend a bit more superglue to magnets so you can remove and replace quickly that should make the grinch happy 😂

@ some parts of the Jeep body are fiberglass, so magnets would not work and may blow off driving down highway. The idea is the clear packing tape is less noticeable and does not leave a sticky residue behind…

If the people with no insurance had a sign up saying "NO INSURANCE", it would make cops jobs easier. Having bright red and blue lights and not a cop makes their job pretty easy too!
