Yup... Im in the scillies now, sail here every year. Infested with wrass 😂 had my two best ever pollock this year too. Great to see you making videos Henry! Please keep making them!
@Neil.W3 жыл бұрын
Got to be barbless for the wrasse, they're surprisingly intolerant to being out of the water. I love that we're now using light lure gear for them, as opposed to the heavy beach gear that was the mainstay of wrasse fishing until recently. So much fun on the light gear and personally I find it more fun than lure fishing for bass. Such beautiful fish too.
@henrygilbey3023 жыл бұрын
Agree completely, and especially when they are really on the feed, it's so quick and easy to get them back with barbless hooks.............and yes, it's so much more fun fishing for wrasse with this lure gear instead of the heavy stuff

Your passion shines through Henry. Lovely video to watch. shallow bouldery ground for wrasse then? No wonder it was all I caught near East Prawle, South Devon (Marc Cowling's territory) when hunting the bass 2 years back. I was fishing very similar ground and caught 2 chunky old wrasse in the sunshine, not a sign of bass. Isles of Scilly it is then! Looks stunning. Thanks for this. Just makes me long to fish.

Cracking video, great to see your enthusiasm shine through. You might not like watching yourself, but, you have a fantastic presence, really informative and entertaining.
