Probably the easiest way to explain why calling Reinhard didn't work is if the sole objective is to destroy a really powerful enemy then he's the most reliable choice. But if dealing with a really tricky obstacle like Sirius requires a scalpel, choosing Reinhard is like using a chainsaw 😅

@brianlazyworks2703 Yes, because the anime cut out the part where Reinhard admits that he's not immune to Sirius's authority, so it was affecting him. With the entire crowd chanting "Kill her" there's a decent chance he'd still kill her despite the warning. Also, if he knocked her out, then everyone else would fall unconscious despite the threat of the other Archbishops. Really the only option that would've worked for Reinhard is to defeat and restrain her without killing or knocking her out unless there's nobody in the area. Issue with that is this city is such a densely populated area it's really difficult to find a spot where nobody would be affected

For those confused about Subaru's plan in the first loop of this episode, the anime cut out Subaru's fight against Sirius. Subaru planned on taking her out himself and he ambushed her by cracking the whip at her face. She blocked it at the last second with her chains, causing the whip to get tangled with her chains. She was confused/stunned by this and Subaru then rammed her off the 60 ft railing. This should have killed her and that's why Subaru felt safe in freeing Lusbel. It's then revealed that she survived which surprised him and then the scene plays out like the anime. It's a dumb plan but considering that he nearly killed her, it's a good feat. The anime just makes Subaru look dumb since even if he freed Lusbel, the people would still die. This was still a great episode though

The OC mentioned thinking she was just a standard mage without melee combat prowess, and I was of the same assumption 'til now. But now? I wanna see how she'd fair against someone like Julius now

@@TWYOPi recommend rewatching it if you’ve forgotten it, but she fought against the human traffickers/slave traders. She didn’t use any magic on them, until she lost control. She caught their arrows in midair, kicked them over with just her leg. Emilia has always been capable, but she hasn’t fought strong opponent in a physical brawl before. During the time skip she simply refined her abilities to focus on her magic & martial prowess. She learned about a variety of weapons so she can use them in battle.

Reinhard is basically insert any anime character from any anime and he beats them, to use a prominent example Gojo and Sukuna from JJK tag teaming together would still lose to him. He clears the entire Re Zero verse except for Satella, Teppei the author of the series stated that he would literally defeat the sun in a fight, and if he were to ever fight Satella there would be no winner since neither can truly kill the other it would just go on for literal eternity

He can come back, but other universes can deal with that. ... ... ... Fourth Some Universes work by different fundamental rules. If he were in "No game no Life", he'd have to beat his opponent in a game to actually be useful in that world (cause everyone else is just as OP as him). He could beat them based on his protections, but we've already mentioned that they can still be overpowered. ... ... ... The Fifth and Final Nail in the coffin is that divine protections are a concept actively granted and maintained by his universe in general. We aren't aware of what would happen if he were to leave to another universe. (E.g. Subaru changed universes and was granted access to magic that comes explicitly from the body; if he didn't destroy it and were to return, he'd likely lose it). ...but it is 50% possible he just becomes a normal, but still skilled human.

She was also selective enough with it to make sure he kept the sloth authority. If she possesses some sort of reality altering abilities like she lead us to believe, then that could certainly be within the realm of possibility for her. I've also seen some speculations that the burns that appear to be all over Sirius's body could be a result of severe frost burn. Pandora could have come back for her body after the fact. We never technically saw the frozen body later in Frozen Bonds.

Subaru dying 3 times in the equivalent of 30 minutes Reinhart with the Gomu Gomu no Stamp (rewatch that scene his leg stretches WAY too far) Reinhart being all powerful and all useless Emilia being a damn WEAPONS SPECIALIST going from a sword to a pair of combat knives to a halberd and then to freakin' tonfas Sirius' dialogue (I'M CONFIDENT she's Fortuna no one can tell me different) I loved it all. And I'm starting to feel bad for Reinhart, 'cause as powerful as he is he stays losing kinda.
