I can’t help but notice the shortcut for the L matrix can be simplified even more.. you don’t even need to bother with reciprocals or negatives since the entries just end up getting inverted twice from the matrix we’re using to decide the next row operation. Like in the final example, the first few step just ends up copying the original entries from A over to L, and the next few steps are just copying other entries over as we go along
