Has anyone noticed how much the car in 9 swings out on the back end compared to 8 I think its a bit over done it's almost verging on power sliding round a corner too much.

It will work, but it won't use analog triggers feature.

@@MotoGamesTV thanks, got the 8bitdo pro 2 instead and that has the software which allows us to swap the triggers with the right stick up and down so that we can have analog acceleration and braking for racing games.

I like the rally game on the handheld console. The switch is not enough compared to the stand-alone console, but it is cool compared to the rally game on psp or psvita.

WRC 9 is new, has more rally stages, more cars, better co-pilot and better (almost) performance. I would go with 9.

Difference is only in battery life. I can't find any tests which can show that newer version has better FPS performance.

@@MotoGamesTV Because many still have the old switch or simply don't know the difference. I now have this game and I have no FPS drops. The nanometers of a CPU already have an impact on its performance. I come from the PC sector, but have been a fan of Nintendo since the SNES era.

So... What I get from this video: - WRC 9 is emptier, but given the low resolution and pop in of the environments it's less distracting this way. - WRC 9 has stable fps, better camera, the car looks good and the lighting is smoother and more natural. - This section 4:05 that I hated in WRC 8 is much better now in WRC 9, but the shadows popping in at the beginning of this video is way worse. Rather inconsistent ports here... - I'm not sure which sound I prefer, I don't particularly like either of them I think I prefer WRC 9 overall. BTW, thanks for the video 👍

Sound in 9 is like a dull fart in a pair of overalls, sound in 8 has got a raspy howl that is way better.

I honestly dont see any difference in the lighting. There seems to be a lot of subjectivity involved. I guess a blind test (no pun intended) could show many people couldnt tell the difference between 8 and 9 if not for the trees.

It's a step backwards from WRC 8. WRC 8 has a sharper picture, more detail and roadside vegetation, and more trees. The rest is the same game. And part 10 is worse than 9. Draw your own conclusions.

car looks acceptable in 8, but has more spark in the paint and deatails in 9, in 9 the track looks cleaner, possibly making it easier to race along the line. 8 has more trees in the background. If I didn't own 8 i would get 9. If I had the physical version of eight I would trade in and go for nine, but I have the digital. So I stuck with 8 everytime I see 9 on sale. Still I admit I feel compelled to upgrade at some point.

El wrc 8 En el wrc 9 le sacrificaron muchas cosas, como algunas texturas, reducir el campo de visión de las sombras y aparición de algunos objetos como los árboles y redujeron el número de objetos, habiendo menos árboles y hierbas y otros objetos, pero creo que wrc 9 tiene mejor ambientación, luz y sombras, y más contenido que el wrc 8

Cars and pace notes overall are better in Wrc8 in my opinion.. Theyre not great but have a lot more Drama and the engines Higher Tonalities which is better for that thrill feeling.. Wrc9 cars all sound the same :(

I think in rally races, v rally is a bit better but not a lot. Last night I was playing rush rally 3 and although I'd a lot more simple in handling and more empty in the stages, the guy who developed it did a great job, that's why I bought it in full price, but v rally and wrc I waited for the biggest discount and still disappointed😞😞😞

Its totally different but great actually, i get bored after a year cause of ''lack of content'' have not that big selection as wrc.. V Rally i didnt try it but its actually from kylotonn as well so.. watching video on youtube it looks pretty similar to wrc.... Im looking in any case for rush rally 4, if will it be released.. Its a very good game counting the fact that is developed by 1 guy. But yeah.. Monday ill gonna buy wrc 9 in any case for 34euros just cause i want to ride japan courses.. And cause in any case i love rally. But i do totally agree with you beeing underquality.. Soundwise it gets even worst then it was. Graphically its horrific on switch :(

I only play random races of wrc8 on switch and only for short time just to kill time when my children are sleeping. So not hardcore fan of wrc8. Just complaining because I play video games for more than 30years and on the last generations of consoles the developers are more after the money and don't have passion. That's why I am a fan of Nintendo because still keeps some of this magic since our child and teenage years

In games like that it's good to have full control on your brake and throttle and with triggers on Switch you can't do that. Throttle or brake it's either pressed fully or not at all. Good option is GameCube controller, but not every game supports it.

It's really hard to play a sim racer without analog triggers, having control over your throttle and brakes like you would on an actual car is a really big deal. I know I can't be all that competitive in MotoGP 20 because I have to always have full traction and stability on all the time otherwise my bike just goes out of control. 100% on and off only works when you are playing an arcade racer.

I have wrc 8 and grid...yeah the triggers suck for racing luckily I use the analog sticks for input..not the best situation but vast improvement over digital input..especially in wrc...and drift sessions in grid.
