Excellent video. What is your opinion of these Rally 1 cars? Are they slower than the 2021 WRCs?

I think this new cars are as faster as the plus. I didn't notice any big difference. In my opinion the rally plus were better in therm of design, and safer in case of fire accident.

Actually it was pretty good. The best thing is that the marshalls let you stay wherever you want, of course not in the marked dangerous zones, and they are less restrictive. In Monza and Montecarlo, for example, in some cases you have to be a way too far off the track and you can't see anything, even if the position is safe over a 5m crest. Another good thing is that the stages are very different. Fast section, cuts, jumps, hairpins... You can see whathever you prefer. If they will organize another event in the next years, I will come back

It definitely looks like the footage is 1.1x or even 1.15x speed even if it's not, I can tell something is up with new cameras, look at how fast the camera wobbles and rally 3 car don't move that fast. He can drive definitely but it just dosent look like the eye perceives it in person.

I can send to you the original videos if you want to check on your own. Actually, yes, rally3 cars move that fast. Sami Pajari (in a Ford Fiesta rally3) managed to achieve an 8th place in SS11, ahead of almost all rally2 drivers and ahead of the Ford Puma of Loubet and the Toyota Yaris of Rovanpera! Same thing with Robert Virves, he get an 11th place in SS11. So, I am sorry, but you are 100% wrong. In that section, the fastest drivers came at around 170-180 kph... Which is quite impressive, but it's their natural speed.

@@SuperMirco1998 Thers something different with digital cameras then in the frame rate or the compression of the files or the editing software cause dosent look that fast when your there in person and the camera shakes as if it's faster, what frame rate do you film at yourself? My Uncle been filming rallys for national TV for 30 years with a proper big TV camera that sits on his shoulder and it records in vhs that he has to convert to digital and it looks far more natural like our eye perceive. I've been going to rallys for over 25 years and competing for the last 15 it doesn't look like that in person. I'm a Mechanical Engineer so i like to know shit people don't notice or probably dont care about. Like why it looks different just I see alot of detail others usually dont . Something is just off with some digital camera footage but il have a conversation with my uncle and see what his opinion. I can send you some of his footage and it dosent look like this 🤷‍♂️

@@PaceWorks the camera shakes that fast because one of the two doesn't have a very good stabilization. The clips were recorded in 1920x1080p at 50 fps

im here for the skill these drivers show, im here for all the speed, for their fast reactions. every other motorsport has walls that are way off in the distance, but here, if you fuck up you've fucked up and go visit the trees.
