@Rhythmeister That sound is the differentials, not engine, engine revs up to 8500 rpm, which is a lot more than 2.0 cars could rev, so they sound even better for spectators.

@hashfromjc I'm aware of all of that. Most of those crashes were when spectators were all over the track. There's fewer spectators now, and the safety and control aspects of the cars have improved. It may be ok to increase the power now.

@evzyboi123 2011 spec cars are 150k €, much cheaper than old 2.0 cars which were almost 4 times that much. Loss of shift pedal gearbox, central differential, smaller engine and few other modifications make them much more affordable in order to get new manufacturers in the championship. As for power, it's not the loss of power that frustrates me, it's the loss of torque (800Nm down to 450Nm, I think, not 100% sure). And what someone said is true, you can only get close to this in RBR.

@brz555 hahahahahahahahahahahhahaha NICE ONE as a matter of fact we were invited up to msport for the launch of the rrc fiesta wich is a lower spec of the wrc as we are actuallly of a decent level in motorsport, asking price- £360,000+VAT with no spares package, we also run 1 Subaru S14 WRC(2009), 1 Subaru S12B WRC(2007), 3 Subaru S12 WRC's(2006) 1 Subaru S11 WRC(2005) 3 Subaru S9 wrc's, so uhh sorry mate i think its worht a bit more than 150 k as you could buy a 2004 spec WRC car for that

i love rally, but as of lately it boggles my mind why you would race a 150,000 dollar car through the woods. but then i remember that they are all rich and can afford 5000 dollars of repairs everytime they take it out on the track.
