Evan's was my driver of the rally. Extremely impressive. Neuville was fantastic on Sunday. But Ogier and Tanak will only get better with more time in the car. Hope Evans can continue this form throughout the season. Thank you again for the brilliant footage.

I agree entirely with what you wrote, and like you, I hope Evans can continue on these levels. It seems that his talent was limited by a Ford that is certainly not as competitive as the Toyota he drives now. I wanted to tell you that tomorrow (1 p.m.) I will upload a video with the split-screen too, I hope you like it, in my opinion, the result is not bad. I don't want to tell you which drivers I have compared, but I think it's a video that many would like to see 😉

Great work. No music but the sound of those wonderful exhaust and tyres squeal.

I love those comparison videos.

Thank you, I like making these comparative videos. When I'm at the rally, I don't notice many differences. while when I make videos, I see different trajectories or different braking points. In these videos, nothing is scientific, to do reliable work it would take all fixed cameras and a Chrono from when the car starts and when it arrives. But I'm just a fan; I don't have the money and equipment of the WRC TV staff... 😅

Hyundai and Toyota seem to be very close on power but when i look at grip it seems that the Hyundai is a bit more stable and maybe a bit easier to drive on the limit. The Toyota seems a bit more twichy when i see it going through corners. Thnx for the the nice video's!

Imo the Toyota had the best setup for most of the rally bar maybe the later stages..but the road surfaces were constantly changing that’s for sure..
@bett4314 жыл бұрын
@@donbrashsux From what I ve seen Toyotas run a harder damper/spring combo which gives them the highspeed stability while Hyundai gets a little more low speed grip which helped with all the mud, slush and ice on the roads.

@@donbrashsux Also I d say this Monte Rally was way more about the driver than the car.

Knowing that the Toyota is still the best car it’s a great performance from Neuville.
@ELUSIVEJIM4 жыл бұрын
Neuville was brilliant on Sunday. But you have to remember that both Evans and Ogier are in their first event with the Yaris. Both were extremely impressive considering it was their first event. Evans especially. But I doubt Evan's will be able to keep that level of performance for the full 2020 season, unlike Ogier. Will be a very interesting season when Ogier has more time in the car.
@RC754 жыл бұрын
James The Toyota drivers can test twice as much as the other teams and most of the testing is at there home base in Finland so they will be ready for this gravel season.
@ELUSIVEJIM4 жыл бұрын
@@RC75 Yes but Neuville has been with Hyundai since 2014. Testing is one thing but time in a team and car makes a massive difference. Not taking anything away from Neuville. Fantastic to see him get the Monte victory. He will be very fast in 2020. But so will Ogier and Tanak when they get settled in.
@RC754 жыл бұрын
James They will, no doubt about that. But I hope Ogier will not win the championship 😉
@ELUSIVEJIM4 жыл бұрын
@@RC75 Ogier is retiring at the end of 2020. Perhaps if he doesn't win he will continue 🤣 I really hope it's at least a 3-way title fight down to the wire. Do a lot for the sport.
