Well I'd like to thank you. I'm a old tech in California. Just had my orange bat for a month or so. Did well with it first. Then kept braking my line was about to give up. But watching you has made a difference. I'm on my fourth windshield not with the same load of line. All I had to do is go back to the basics with it. Keep up the good work man. Thanks Again

The way u did it in the end is how I use it all the way around , I cross the wire before I feed it thru the windshield, but I wish the Orange bat had an extra Spindle on each side so I can put the wire on that , and just cut it that way , I use to work for safelite and the ezi wire and this are pretty common but the ezi wire takes the W on simplicity but I do like my orange bat

M using line they provided with kit Or can u recommend any strong line Mines got ripped easily

Tried it your way and there was an insane amount of tension, string definitely would broke.. Bad method

The amount of tension is the same no matter which direction you set it up. To reduce the tension on the line you have to pay close attention to your angles, speed of the drill, and making sure that the line is pushed tight against the glass.

@@optimum3services853 how do you make sure its tight against the glass?

@@AngelGarcia-of2km I use my hand and push the line against the glass while working the drill with other hand. In really cold weather you have to slow the speed down considerably as well. It can also help keeping the placement about 1/3 down from top.

I have never used the lock, I use a small bit driver with the small 1/4 bit and use my hand to adjust the tension.
