In awe of your skills and problem solving. The way you hitched that trailer and straighten it up and all of the appropriate equipment and tools you have - a credit to you and surely a few companies could take note of your expertise. All the best.

ReHi: As you often mentipon, "very little details" until you arrive. This was often my situation in industry, too. Industrial electronic service is often closely related with Instrumentation and control. This is another job on the road, and you never really know until onsite what you will encounter, the same for both of us. Additionally I did many dangerous jobs - they were the best for me because I had the de facto know-how and stability of mind in dangerous situations to get the job done. So, I m still alive! But all that's part and parcel of being a "road warrior!"

Hi there, i must say that i really like your cars, they are soooooo nice i have a question for you too i've been watching alot of your videos here on KZbin and i have a question about your way to unload from the flatbed, i used to drive a recovery truck here in sweden and if i hade a wreck on the bed i used to take the winch and use a block at the end of the bed to drag the wreck down from the bed instead of shaking it of that i've seen you do on 2 or more of your videos, have you tried to do so?? i meen it saves the truck from getting damaged to :-) looking forward to more of your videos Best regards Klas in Borås, Sweden

Hi Ron: Again a great video. Got a question; how many times has PD requested the wrong equipment? Or have you ever got on scene and decided that you needed other equipment? Do you have someone who could bring you the rotator if your on scene and needed it?
@RonPratt7 жыл бұрын
Normally PD has a good idea of what will be needed. There are times, however, when we arrive on scene only to find we need different or more equipment. Especially on large incidents I will arrive on scene, assess the situation, and call in for the equipment that I believe we will need to complete the job. And, yes, there are other people that could bring the rotator out if I needed it. Thanks for watching and God bless.

Having worked on a feedlot in the past I know the feeling of busted tires. Had one pop on a trailer on us we were able to replace as we had a spare and a way to lift the tire off the ground and had one time I had a leak on a truck tire I caught right after I unloaded and headed back to the feedlot as we were about 10 miles from it while the other guys unloaded the other trailers but this trailers a lot worse than anything I ever dealt eith

Apologies for the late message. A combination of bordem, need to kill time, and a lack of new content on the channels I sub to I dug and old video out of the archive of my favorite channel. Any who, you ever had to recover a trailer with livestock still on board or do you let the client transfer the 'load' to another trailer first? That's assuming you had a job involving a livestock still on board. :D
@RonPratt5 жыл бұрын
Actually, we have recovered vehicles with livestock in them on multiple occasions. Generally, they have been semi trailers loaded with cattle that have overturned or crashed. I don't show those videos, because some people might be "squeamish" about some of the scenes that we have to deal with. Thanks for watching and God bless.
@llloyd45 жыл бұрын
@@RonPratt Cool! And, yeah, I understand that, in that case most probably at least one of the livestock has gotten injured and that sort of scene is equivalent to a horror movie for some people. Well, something like that. >.< Anyway, thank you for the videos. And may God bless you and your household.

In Missouri towing and recovery vehicles are classified as emergency vehicles and can run red/blue lights and sirens when requested to do so by an authorized agency such as police or fire. Here is the link to a video I made explaining this in more detail, if you are interested in watching.. Thanks and God bless. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2KTpJxoqduLZ5I

You really make these recoveries look too easyRon! Just curious why the police officer didn't pull his car onto the road protecting both you and your truck when you were partially blocking that lane?
@RonPratt8 жыл бұрын
Thank you. As for the officer, I can't tell you. I know my truck has red/blue lights on the front so while I was in the wrong lane during loading, there was a clear line of site for oncoming traffic. The other lane was a different story. The officer has helped me in many other situations. God bless

Sir your lights are not bright enough to be seen during the day time. I worked on the sides of interstates for 42 years in my career so I know what you are going through with the people not slowing down no moving over. We used to get a fake radar gun and park another truck 1500 ft away, point it in their direction and believe me, they would slow down. Then we build a trailer with a huge strobe light and a light bar and took it with uson almost every job. We had gas-powered gen. to run the thing, You should try making one works great!!!!
