Hey everyone! Welcome to the continuation of our Scrap Mechanic co-op survival adventure! In this episode kAN and I revisit our experiment of trying to hunt Farmbots with an explosive canister launcher! Since our last attempt the devs have made it so that explosives can be triggered by bot collisions, so naturally we decided to give our contraption another try! We also worked on our base and improved the glow poop operation as well as made some progress on the farm! The Glowbugs only die "naturally" if you don't feed them & they are out of water. I think if they are in water, then it doesn't matter if you feed them or not, they will never die. But outside, you MUST feed them.... Loving the videos, keep up the absolutely amazing work.

You need to put 1 glowpoop in every slot of the chest so it has no space for the water because then it will only collect glowpoop

So, if you have an over abundance of spuds, and a spudling gun, go to a fresh, unharvested ember forrest, and unleash the spuds.. as long as the foliage is dense enough, you can wipe the forrest pretty quickly

Place a concrete block for the cardboard to be placed on, so the glow bugs don't get in the way.

About that one haybot ‘creeping up’: the devs did actually change the behaviour of the haybots. They now tend to only swing at you once you did damage to them, and when they swing they either swing faster or do more damage. Really weird, they are way more dangerous now.

Others are playing co-op survival. I just didn't think that could be true and did a search and there are at least two other co-op series on KZbin. You probably only saw kAN and Kosmo because that's what you watch normally and that's what the predictive algorithm does. Try sorting by upload date and you'll see more.

@@ColdRiverAutowire The algorithm is geared toward making the most money for KZbin/Google, so it will promote larger channels that will get more traffic and, thus, more advert views. So if you use the search feature and just type in "Scrap Mechanic Survival Co-op" (people spell this in various ways but it should get them all) it'll bring the videos up. Then you have to use the Filters option at the top to sort by upload date (the option for this is toward the right, or, on the left, you can just look for videos within a specified time frame). You might not be interested in these first two because they are German channels: "Sam McLeun" and "Simple Coop." I think the guys on this one are also German, but they speak English: "Akathrea." I didn't go to these following channels so I don't know for certain, but their descriptions were all in English so I'm assuming they are English-speaking channels: "Xbolt Playz," "XLB_Gaming _," "Staynz," and "Steve's Makerspace." There are more, but I'll let you find them if you want. Also, yeah I think the Neebs crew finished prematurely, but I also think not enough of them (chiefly Thick and Simon, but maybe to a lesser extent Appsro) like the game enough so they just dropped it in favor of Raft or whatever.

Eh, I bought this game and soon after i bought Grounded. Grounded's dev team is in constant communication with their community, tosses out updates and optimizations 4x faster than scrap mechanic team even during covid. Meanwhile scrap mechanic hasnt had a decent update in like a quarter of a year, and only updates us every so often. And the newest updates are creative and vaccuum pump stuff :/

The glowbugs despawn in the same way as wocs when you leave the tile. They absolutely don't need water to survive.

Glowbug farm, they can eat from a couple blocks high, so to avoid the issue of them moving in the way of the pump putting cardboard down, just place a random block underneath where the cardboard goes

The blades do cut ember trees. But u HAVE to use the flat side of the blades and drive into the trees. With the update to vacuum pumps u can farm ember with a vehicle easily now.

That scarp man idea for hitting a farm bot with a big gas can attached to a vehicle. I mad one like that without the pole thing . I made my front using warehouse keys Sometimes some of my concrete brokes but it's not too bad .

You can use a water cannon to shoot water at the amber trees and it will break them

The ash-tree-shooting-theory is actually a thing, as you found out as well, but it works best with the shotgun. Shoot once at the tree, and it will collapse taking only this 1 shot. This will use 2 ammo, versus 4 with the normal spudgun.

Never had a glowbug die above water. Just make sure they're fed EVERYDAY. They tend to disappear otherwise.

I've gotten away with a few days without feeding them if I'm on a long exploration/loot etc. But otherwise I agree, feed every day, the water doesn't matter. Also, protect from bots as they WILL kill them.

Use a pump to lay explosives like mines from the back of the truck. Use non-cardboard blocks in a + with the middle empty and shoot the cardboard into the center. The glowbugs can't walk to the middle, but they can get to the cardboard. Scrapman did this months ago, do you guys not watch his videos?

The poop chute thing sucking in water could just be one of the ways you get water for your base. you're gonna be planting lots so, can't you also attach a pump that goes out and only water wll go out of that one? connect a water gun to it maybe?.. you can use water to knock down ember trees, as well as putting out fires in the burnt land. all the more reason to get more water.

@@darealkosmo I found that I just need the one to produce all of the glow poop I'll ever need. While I feed mine on a fairly regular basis, if you use a really looooong timer to feed yours once in a while, you can basically ignore it and use a separate circuit when you want it to produce lots of glow poop.

If I remember correctlly, drill destroys chared trees.... fastest and best way is shotgun shoot..1 shoot.... And glow bugs did dissapear in my mwechanic station when tHEY WERE OUT OF WATER AND i FORGET TO FEED THEM....

If you plant enough crops, redbots spawn to attack your farm. Google a scrap mechanic farm raid chart to find out the specific amount plants needed P.S. if you need the redbot to get into a warehouse, then ill assume you dont have broccoli/pineapple, and you cannot get a redbot spawn without planting some broccoli/pineapple
